Do you like it?
She has a Gen 2 right meow, it'a shat the bed.

I do. I think I had a 2 or 3 that I didn't use much but I wear this one all the time.

The new ones (7,8) have better battery life and charge quicker which I wish I had. I charge at night but would like to use the sleep functions

May upgrade to 8

as I understand it the 7/8 have more screen real estate too with basically the same size.

one thing I really like about the watch is controlling music with it. I stream from iTunes to my home stereo and I can change the song and adjust the volume with the watch. Same if you are using headphones.

i use the timer all the time for grilling

*bump*

@YankeeVol @volinbham - did either of you ever upgrade to the Apple Watch 8? I’m thinking of using it as motivation to accomplish a few projects I have going on.
I’ve got one. I like it because I can see messages and do simple things without picking up my phone…, and inevitably getting sidetracked looking at 10 other things.

I hadn’t thought of that, but being able to hide my phone and its distractions *cough* VN *cough* but still be in reach would be really useful.

Do you use the fitness and sleep tracking functions at all? I currently have a Fitbit Charge 5 that was great until it wasn’t (sleep stage tracking went down the tubes.) I figure I could get another tracker, or just splurge a bit on a watch.

I use it mostly to track my exercise, etc. But I enjoy being able to read emails, texts and make phone calls from it
You have to have the cellular version for that, right? Or no? Don’t know if Wi-Fi will do it.

It is cellular capable and it had its own phone number, but I turned it off because I always have my phone with me. It works through Bluetooth I believe

Thanks. I do NOT want to give Verizon any more money! (We once bought an iPad with cellular and never used it. Waste of money.)
