Every pundit from sec nation down says app state will make this a game. Sorry i don't see it but does anyone see this being a close game?

if we come out like say when Doofus was out coach then maybe....the Vols are ready to hit people!! so no, this will not be close.....just like on the SEC previews that were on recently back to back...I watched the A&M one where they agreed that we will beat them....then the Tennessee preview came on and they said NO, A&M will beat Tennessee...apparently they don't even watch their own lousey programming for edits!

The unknown in this game is the Vols defense. How will Shoop affect the game? We assume he will be more aggressive. But will he be against App St? Or will he be vanilla and let them score a little more than he should just to keep VT from seeing the blitz packages?

Yeah. Just like pundits saying Northwestern would keep it close.

NW would have been a lot closer except for special teams. The 100 yd interruption was kinda like a gift. I think Appy State's defense is as good as NW. because of their team speed. and ability to play better against the spread offense. I don't know much about their special teams but I think they will be better than NW.

That's a negative Ghost Rider, we blow the doors off in the 1st quarter, Dormady starts all of the second half.

Curious what the spread is? I might be with you

Edit: I see it at 21.5, not sure we cover. It'll be close IMO

I got in on the action when the line was 20.5. I feel confident that we win by 28+. People are gonna realize starting tonight that the VOLS are about to run this $hit.

Did we watch the same game? NW got manhandled and it wasn't even close. The interception came with all the backups in and NW still trying to score.

My view on the game has less to do with Tennessee and more to do with how good I think App St really is.

They could easily go undefeated except for our game on the year (including when they play Miami in 2 weeks, I give them a good shot at pulling that one off in Boone)

I don't think special teams did anything significant in that game. I believe we had 1 total yard in total returns. So, if you take away the late INT, it is still a 38-6 game. The defense was outstanding and forced 4 INT's.

Bowling Green won me a lot of money this year, but they never had a chance vs. the Vols. App St compares well to BG from last yr imo.

And UT is better than it was last year. You better recalculate, or don't, it's your money.
