I have consistently inferred a common theme around a single candidate, having absolutely no reason to believe the information I was privy to was incorrect. I feel misled just like everyone else, and guilty for sharing information that was obviously off-base. My apologies to those who believed. No more communication from me until we have a coach. Go Vols.

He said there was a a big hire happening on Sunday and acted like he had it as sourced information. But in this post he said it was just him putting together the clues. Which there's nothing wrong with.. There's a big difference between "I think" and "It's going to happen, just wait.." But as poster above said, nobody believed you anyways. No hard feelings though!

Why are people liking this? Odds are it's a troll account anyway. Seriously, when will this board learn that insiders are most likely people looking for E cred or fans of other boards, especially when things are as bad as they are and everyone is grasping at straws for any little bit of positive news and hope?

Probably because few trolls or even regular posters (D4H, etc) bother to even offer an apology after they are clearly proven to have been way off. Its the novelty of it, I suppose. Reasons for OP's actions could be sincere or just the con artist setting up the bigger con. Time always tells.

It's the "boy who cried wolf syndrome" for me at this point. Maybe some sheep will believe you guys in our next coaching search, but I'll never believe one of these "outsider insiders" again, even if they're just telling me what our record is.

Kudos for showing up and making a statement. Most would have simply disappeared and returned under a new name. The entire scenario you believed was coming to pass simply had no reasonable basis in fact given the current situation. UT is an utter mess, a train wreck like I've not seen in over 50 years of watching and following. This program is a national laughingstock and on the verge of collapse. No coach in his rght mind would consider UT right now.....especially the coach you were referring to. Still, hats off to you for showing up.

When you start an account in Nov and constantly bring what you bring... NO ONE believed you....ever...

I tried to tell people in the gruden thread that I absolutely saw comments on Facebook about people trolling, but I was a bad guy for it. Heck, most of them thank the people lying to them. Oh well, we’re all a mess right now.

Not defending him, but there were several others who did the same, but their words were gospel because they said gruden.
