APB out for Phillips and Taylor

Has anyone heard anything about Kyle Phillips and Darrel Taylor? I really thought that Taylor was going to break out this year. Both of these guys have some insane speed off the edge.

I saw Taylor playing DE opposite of Barnett in 4th quarter when gators were at their 2 yard line. But I think he only played that one short series.

Phillips came in for at least one series against Florida in the second half to give either Barnett or Vereen a quick breather and looked good. May have played more? Phillips just needs to be be patient because as long as Barnett is healthy, it will be hard for any of the back up Defensive Ends to get many snaps. His time is coming next year and beyond.

Agreed. Phillips has the talent just needs to wait his turn

Damn it BOT. I saw APB, and thought WTF? Did they rob a bank or something? Were we having a Bronco chase on I-40? Please, man, refrain from using police terms in threads with players names. Give me a freakin heart attack.

I think that Phillips and Taylor didn't see much playing time mostly because of the momentum Vereen and Barnett were providing, especially in the second half. The whole point of having Kongbo, Phillips, etc this season was so that Barnett and Vereen wouldn't have to play so many snaps per game. But since it was Florida, I really think that since Barnett and Vereen were so on point no way was Shoop going to take them out. Not to mention it was the last shot both of them will ever have against Florida.

The one I don't get is Austin Smith. He looked soo good last year at LB, we then switch him to DE where he will be buried in depth chart for a year or two if not his entire career!?!?
