Watching my beloved Vols suffer from drug problems (drug up one side of the field, then drug back down the other) worries me.

We're not going to yet again turn on the time circuits and hire Cutcliffe.
Cut = attempt to go back in time.

Duke is lucky to have him though.

That writer is clueless. A wishful fan told him Gruden. A conservative fan told him Cutcliffe. Those are probably his "sources."

Fulmer plays down remark on 'apathy' : College : Memphis Commercial Appeal

Seems that the empty seats and the threat of withheld donations is hitting home to Hamilton. It's all been said on here before, but in rumor mills. also, i read the top 2 candidates to replace Fulmer are Gruden and Cutcliff
This ought to start the tongues to waggin

Cutcliffe has only been mentioned in passing, He will not be the coach at UT...Gruden, Forget it...He's not coming here...Butch Davis is the logical choice but there are other gems out there worth going after if that falls through....This coaching search will be one of the most exciting ever :dance2:

I thought we already sufficiently ripped that writer a new one?

And if Cutcliffe really is on some short list somewhere, if Hamilton thinks the stadium is empty now, let him hire Cut.

There won't be a curtain big enough to hide all the empty seats.

Butch is in an ideal situation at UNC..I just dont see him coming..he can build the UNC program quicker(considering the weakness of the ACC) with less pressure. UNC has the potential to be a sleeping giant..they have the resources and are craving a winner.

Didn't Hamilton mention once during the Fulmer/Sanders debacle that we got spoiled and was expecting to much in going to bowls and the SECC every year? So I guess we're what...suppose to get use to losing so that way we're not ready to blow a gasket and run the HC out of town.

Cutcliffe is too loyal to Phil to come here to replace him imo

Just as Phil was too loyal to Johnny Majors to usurp him? Make no mistake: Cutcliffe would crawl on his hands and knees from Durham to Knoxville to take the UT job, if offered.

"Crawl on his knees" is pretty strong. Sorry - I just have very angry memories of some UK fans saying that Bruce Pearl would crawl like that to take the UK job.

I don't see Cut coming here. Anything at Duke remotely positive in football is considered a win. I don't think he would want the pressure or stress of a big time program. He's already had heart surgery before Phil hired him back from Notre Dame. Duke could be very comfortable for him to ride off into retirement.
