Did anyone else realize that we have the fewest wins (3) of any team in the top 25 this week? Because of the open dates and losses we have, there are teams on there with twice as many wins (6) as us. And three of them are below us. And the GATORS are below us! Good stuff.

We'll get there, especially if we do what we are capable of doing this coming Saturday. GO VOLS! BEAT BAMA!

I'm not that concerned with the rankings as long as we play strong against the Tide. I really just want to see us go for it and open the offense a little. If our O is in synch and plays well and Bama still beats us then I will give the Tide credit and be content that we are making some progress.

Mostly because we have lost 2 games to top 5 teams at the time.

Obviously the AP voters realize what a tuff schedule we've had and the LSU Monday night Miracle is still on their minds, one more loss and I'd say we drop off the charts, especially if we lose to the team that could barely beat Ol Miss with a full week to prepare.

That's a good point. We only had 4 days to prepare for Ole Miss, played 2 games in a week and still did better than bama did against them.

I know that bama won't be flat for our game, but hopefully they'll try too hard and self destruct.

I think its like OWB said...3 out of those 4 were away games to very tough teams, the only real whippin we've taken was Georgia and that was because they saw us come back on LSU...believe me we took Georgia's best punch.

The offense has opened up quite a bit this year, we just can't connect on anything.

Being down only 13-7 in the 4th quarter is hardly a "whippin." The game didn't end the way the Vols fans would have liked, but it having a chance to win the ballgame in the 4th quarter is what a team desires when playing a top 5 opponent. Tennessee's special teams have been poor for years now.... and the defense cashed it in after that. Prior to that drive (9 rushes for 73 yards), Georgia had 332 yards of total offense and Tennessee had 295.

guess I was referring to the final score, and it seemed to me the score didnt reflect how well Georgia physiclly dominated play. IMO
