Remember, Bowling Green threw quickly, but NOT little short outs near line of scrimmage ... is there any reason that we couldn't do that?

Our WRs should have advantage on high balls vs F dbs.

I completely agree! I just don't think Dobbs is a good enough QB to get it done. I guess the coaches don't have faith in him to throw past 5 yards either.

Yeah we're in a bad spot. Dormady the better passer, but too young to depend on for a rough 2 QB system. Just have to depend on Dobbs like Auburn has to depend on Jeremy Johnson.

Although I don't think Dobbs is THAT bad.

Struggle in the Swamp Saturday September 24, 2015. Number 28 Tennessee travels south to take on the 40th ranked Mighty Gators in a battle of epic proportions.

Can The Vols crack the top 25 since their loss to Oklahoma? Can the Gators stop the Tennessee powerful running game of Dobbs, Hurd and Kamara? Tune in Saturday at 3:30 PM for the answers to those questions and more. This is one you do not want to miss.

15 to 20 years ago you would have used #3 Florida and #5 Tennessee battle in the swamp. That and it was a game with national implications. Now it only matters to either school and fan base involved. :frown:

Missouri feels like they own the Vols, afterall they know nothing else but winning against the Vols..... like the Vols feel like they own Kentucky? I'm afraid so....

3 year win streak = 27 win streak?? You must have used common core math.

How can MSU be ranked behind OSU after them beating Oregon & OSU sucking it up vs Northern Illinois?!?!

Can't be ranked with a .500 record. Need to win at least 2 or 3 in row to get away from .500, then we start looking to be ranked again.

There is no way we are 13th best team in the nation.

Here are the computer rankings. These tend to be a little more realistic.

College Football Ranking Composite

And until we prove we deserve otherwise, we should not be ranked ahead of Florida in any poll.

I would stand firmly behind us finishing in the top 15! We can do that with 3 losses, and I don't see us losing more than 3!

Win the games on the field (not vicariously through other teams on our schedule) and the rankings will take care of itself.

Polls are meaningless this time of year...S. Carolina last season!! That being said, winner of UT / UF game probably cracks the poll.

Thoughts on the game: I really think we open up the playbook and utilize our weapons. Would be a hell of a time to show off the arsenal.

Let's see: Florida is no good, they are overrated, etc., but if we beat them, then we will be back in the top 25.

:loco:

While not one of their better teams in the last 20 years, they are still Florida and we still have not beaten them in 10 years. As bad as they may be they will no doubt play like champions against us, they always do.
