Whew! I expected the voters to tank the Vols, move Cal above UT and keep ND in the Top 5. I suppose a little of my faith in humanity has been restored.

I don't really think it's fair that we dropped in the polls. Florida was SUPPOSED to beat us, according to the "experts". I guess we'll be back to 17-18 in the ESPN/USA Today poll.

Miami is out of the rankings for the first time since 1999.

The Hurricanes' latest lopsided loss -- a 31-7 debacle at Louisville -- ended a streak of 107 consecutive poll appearances that was the nation's longest current streak.

Well I consider this a blessing. There is still much hope. All we need is for Georgia to beat Florida and we beat Florida and we create havoc in the SEC East. We're still in the hunt, but our O-Line and D-line need to do some soul searching, also expect to see the option from every team that we play since we can't stop it, along with the QB draw.

You said that.

How many teams have you not seen drop after a loss. Ever

Run the qb draw out of the shot gun every single play. Marshall will beat us by twenty if they do that ... that is unless our defense has a serious come to jesus meeting. I want to see them get off some of those blocks. It was almost like they were going through the motions last night and just accepting being blocked as inevitable.

Oregon got 5 spots and they should have loss. Everyone that watched college football knows they should have loss. But they get 5 spots.

Well, you KNOW I don't really know much about football other than how my Vols do. I guess my ignorance is showing. My bad.

The path back to the Top 10 goes through Athens.

9/30 #1 Ohio St. vs #14 Iowa
9/30 #13 Oregon vs #20 Az St
10/7 #5 UF vs #10 LSU
10/7 #13 Oregon vs #22 Cal

Assume that Iowa and LSU lose and Oregon drops one of the two. Throw in a win against #9 UGA and I think the Vols crack the Top 10. I guess the Top 10 really doesn't mean anything but I used it as a way to console myself for many years during the reign of Darth Visor.

Don't tell that to the haters VH. Top 10 isn't good enough.

I find it funny that we would drop two after a 1 pt. win and two again after a 1 pt. loss. Of course, a lot of it has to do with what those around you do. But, I still find it kind of funny. I was suprised to still be in the top 15 for sure. Go Vols!

You act like we've already done it. Battling to the top 10 is going to be a long, tough road. Without a running game, I just don't know if it can be done. LSU and Georgia are going to be just as tough in the front seven as Florida. Actually, they will probably be better. We need to do something to help us run against them.
