This guy will be a UT legend by the time he leaves. He set the bar high for the young studs coming in next year. Good for competition and for recruiting. Expect he will take on more of a leadership role next year. Sounds like he's cut out for it.

I have said it before and I will say it again.. Barnett will be an all time great by the time he leaves UT..

He will own most if not all the records a DE can get.. TFL, sacks.. you name it, he will have it. As long as our good lord sees fit to keep him healthy. I pray that he does because his success will be UT's success.

Even when he goes to the NFL and becomes the best DE they have.. It will help UT every time he is on TV saying VFL when they do the starters schools at the beginning of games. Or when he comes to watch games during off weeks etc.. I really think the guy will end up being a rock star in the football world.. JMHO

Anybody remember during his recruitment when ppl were on here bashing him because he hit a kid late out of bounds? They said he was a thug and had a terrible attitude... Gotta love VN.

He does have an aggressive mean streak on the field. He is nasty and aggressive, maybe I am different than the rest of VN but I absolutely love it. It has been a LOOOONNNNGGGGG time since I can remember any line player on either side of the ball with that kind of mean streak.

I remember the jack*ss vandy homer who was the commentator ripping DB for that hit for the rest of the game on the live stream. Dude made it sound like DB would be trash here. Lol

I couldn't agree more. I love it. I think that's what gives him that extra edge. We need more players with that attitude.

Best part is he's so soft spoke off the field. The light switch flips when the metal of his cleats meets the tops of the grass blades.

Great to have his talents on the D Line! Credit to him and Butch and the other coaches who are recruiting at a high level. It's good to see us back getting some of the best High School talent in the nation. We should because we are a Football Power and have the great football tradition! GBO!

I just hope we can keep him for 3 years.
