Anything to do in New York City?

I'll give my thoughts

Tall buildings: Rockefeller for sure. You get the rest of the city in the view
Parks: Central Park. You could spend all day there and still not see everything
Water stuff: Staten Island Ferry. It's free!
Museums: 9/11 Museum, AMNH
Fun Outdoor Areas: too many to name
Sports: Never done sports in NY. Went to PBR at Madison Square Garden once. The arena does have an aura about it, but it's a bit of a dump really

Food
Pizza: Bleecker Street; get the Nonna Maria. Trust me.
Italian: Paesano's
Tacos: Los Tacos No. 1. Several locations.
Bagels: Ess-A-Bagel has the best selection
Fancy Michelin Star Restaurant: Can't help you there. I'm cheap.
Steakhouse: Gallagher's in the Theatre District. They do their lunch special until 4. One of the better steaks I've ever had...but the sauce is where it's at
Sweets: Magnolia Bakery for banana pudding. Junior's for cheesecake

Are you on your cruise now? Are there really lots of people sick with Covid? That's just crazy. Covid, flu, measles, whatever; that's what trip insurance is for.
So far no cases of Covid that I am aware of, but it was mentioned on "Cruise Critic" that it was rampant on the ship on the previous sailing which was from Europe to NYC.
We always get travel insurance. More for the possiblility of having to be air lifted from sea which can cost a bundle, and peace of mind with smaller problems that we can handle. I've had 2 heart attacks, and travel insurance does not cover preexisting conditions unless you buy it within 14 days(Varies by insurance Company)of booking the cruise. I always ask my cardiologist to put in his notes that a am "Fit to travel". The insurance cos. can be a pain in the butt, and they often contact your Dr.
Ha, I got Covid in 2022 on a cruise, and I was quanantined to our cabin for a several days. Had insurance, but the cruise line refunded a percentage of our fare equal to the number of days we were in our cabin.

Picture is at Newport, RI
