Anyone watching Nico tonight?

doubt I missed anythng
fellasleep as 4Q started

If you're a Nicohater, you missed a glorious INT that got ran back 30 yards or so. The stadium was well over 90% empty by that point (six minutes or so left in the game), so you're not the only one that missed it.

I have to say I can't really find it in me to root against the kid. I've changed jobs, even changed countries for personal and financial reasons, and I've dumped plenty of girlfriends for personal and financial reasons and tried to upgrade to better ones or at least ones who I thought were better at the time, so I don't feel like Nico or Lane Kiffin did anything wrong. It's not like they took their family dog to the pound and bought a new one. I would hate them and root against them in every ball game if they did that!

I watched a little a bit due being up at 4:45AM to go to the ATL. Joey vs Nico. Joey is our guy. Nico could've gotten better here under Heupel. I'm glad he didn't get hurt and happy that he lost. Thanks Big Nick!!! Go Vols!!!!

After being affected by the Verizon fiasco I stayed up for the first half. 1 decent throw and a scramble or 2. I believe I am being objective when I say I would rate him a medicre QB. There was one closeup and the look on his face was like a deer in the headlights. Feel for the kid but I think we are better at QB now and maybe more importantly better in the locker room.

I did. I couldn’t help myself. I made it until halftime and went to bed. He’s just a kid and I don’t hate or dislike him. I hope he doesn’t get injured. That being said his dad is an asshat and completely failed him by shopping him around and biting the hand that feeds. He’ll never admit it, but I’m sure they both watched the Tennessee game yesterday and had some salt over Joey’s success. Gotta say I’m glad that he left now.

That 35,000 attendance number is after a massive publicity campaign and includes several hundred Nico family members and hangers on. Wonder after a few more losses if they struggle to have over 20,000? Wonder if Madden gets to play sooner than expected?

Of course I stayed up and watched. Well at least until halftime. He looked about the same as last year. If his first read is open he can rocket it to them. If not he panics and get happy feet. Still an excellent athlete but he’s still got a lot of developing to do. For this year we 100% upgraded.
He's had plenty of time to figure it out by now.. he hasn't even gotten the least bit better by now...I'm not debating you by any means.... just saying.

1. His dad is BIG PRICK!

2. I hope CJH learned a lesson here.

Aren’t you a bit curious how he will do. I’m thinking if his dad is a heavily involved as believed I am faulting his dad 99%. Think about it what kid doesn’t follow his dad’s advice? I know I did. I love my dad. I wanted to please him. I’m sure if it’s true of Nico he is just pleasing his dad. It’s ok to give an opinion but not push it off on someone not even your kids.
Nope. I will watch paint dry first.

All this talk about Nico. I would bet that JA went to sleep with smile on his face based on everything that happened resulting in him coming to Tennessee. Fate has smiled on the lad. If you told me 8 months ago that we would end up swapping Nico for JA, well, I would have said that would be impossible. Sometimes impossible happens.

I dont feel like Kiffin did anything wrong. But Nico on the other hand I do. He didn't just change jobs, he ran Ut down. And went to UCLA the week before Ark game, and since we have all heard what has occured, imo he was shopping for more money from Oregon, and you see how he played vs Ark, and I feel tht some of the players heard of this trip and why he went.

Deion won’t want him after this season. Maybe Jamey Chadwell at Liberty or Mullen at UNLV will throw him a bone. His stock is going to drop big time.
UNLV won’t touch him. They’ll likely handle him next week. If Mullen is good at anything, it’s scheming and focusing on one thing. It may be to his detriment, but UCLA doesn’t have much and what they do have can be melted down if they put any pressure on the QB and we all know how he does when there’s any pressure whatsoever.

B1G season is going to be a ride for him and Im here for it. I’m petty like that.

Article I read about it from the LA Times was that Utah brought most of the crowd. UCLA did not have many at all. I bet their coach was surprised when he found out he got snookered on the qb trade, ha ha.

Good point. I was half joking, but you’re right.

California used to be a nice place to live or visit. I worked out there a couple times in the 80's in LA and loved the weather, beaches, etc. Sad to see what it's become today. I don't visit any place that doesn't respect my 2nd amendment rights
It really has become uninhabitable IMO. Our friends still live there but are desperately looking to leave as soon as possible. Really a shame…leadership, without question, worse in the nation. Go Vols!

Announcers mentioning the weight of playing for TN was getting to him

I do think the way he was hyped at UT with the money, being a 5 star, etc just created bad mojo here. The kid was not a program savior for the program going in or coming out of the program. It's probably good for everyone that he moved on.
