Anyone watching Nico tonight?

I will, on occasion, watch UCLA, just to see how he's doing. While it was just the first game, dare I say, I like the trade that was made.

I spent way too many hours practicing the guy's name. Thinking if he was going to play here, we should be respectful and not butcher his name every time it was spoken. Oh well.....this is the last I'll comment on the subject of Nico.

I tried to stay awake and lasted the first quarter.
At the 8:37 mark in the first, while on a slant, Nico literally knocked his receiver down by delivering the ball to the side of his helmet. I wish I could post the video.

No kidding-he ear holed his own receiver.

Just a bad move by nic and his boy immaleava. UCLA is a bad team and one reason why they wanted to leave Tennessee is the lack of players around him. I saw Nico bail out on a pass play and tuck and run a lot in first half. I didn't get to watch much of second but sounds like it didn't go too well either. Long year for the Bruins and I feel Tennessee may have come out better regarding Joey football as our QB.

After that game I’m wondering how much Nico even cares about football other than a way to provide his family with money. Just looked so disinterested. I’m wondering how much time he’s really investing into getting better as a QB. He looked like he had regressed as a QB not got better. His surrounding talent was pitiful. There is zero chance he starts this entire year; unlikely he makes it through the year healthy with that line.

Looked real bad tonight. I don’t feel for him at all. He made his choice. It’s fairly obvious it was the wrong decision
I said it in another post. But Nico might not even be starting by the end of the season.
I’m wondering if he would have lost the job here. Had he stayed, it was going to get ugly for TN quickly.

I believe this…Nico is soft…not trying to pile on the kid but that’s what he is…a soft kid…it’s pretty clear to me now…it’s the by product of being a star his whole life and being treated accordingly…
Last night’s game looked exactly like last year’s Ohio State game. He spent the first half trying to execute the game plan and fell behind. He spent the 3rd quarter trying to do it all himself as RB, and then he spent the 4th quarter trying to preserve himself.

It’s amazing to me that I catch myself feeling sorry for Nico when he fails. He’s a cocky looking kid when there’s no game going on. He looks like a whipped puppy in the 4th quarter most games.

I guess the Citrus bowl, I had such high expectations last year after that game. Then the first three games he had some amazing strikes to wr running in stride, something Milton struggled with, but then it was mostly all down hill after that.
He struggled vs any SEC not named Vanderbilt or Miss State. This tells me he's at best a G5 QB or a good FCS team. He's comfortable facing less talented across the board teams. The Orange Bowl was fools gold any Bowl IMO not a playoff game can be a opt out Bowl and no morale for a lot of teams but even in that game his numbers were not great. He had very few 200+ passing games. Beasley should have been the MVP but the press wanted a narrative and Vol fans bought in. He is who he is.
