I follow UT sports pretty closely, but don't know the Administration very well. Do they really not care enough to make a change?

Yeah, but they will definitely commit to a lame duck coach who is O'fer in the SEC? Go get the right guy and the commits will stay.
Jones is done, put him out of his misery and elevate the program.

I don't think it matters one way or the other. This season is shot and as a previous poster said, recruits aren't going to commit to an interim. So I don't really care. I know most coaches don't like the in season firings so if letting him finish the season would make it easier to hire the next guy then fine. If they fire him now, because they can immediately hire his replacement, that's fine too. I just really don't care.
