Anyone think Monte will be a repeat of Clawson?

No. Clawson's Offense worked in D1-AA. Monte's defense worked in the NFL. There's a big difference.

the beauty of the tampa 2 is its simplicity...deep safeties fast linebackers pressure up front, and i guarantee no-one can teach it better than monte. comparing monte kiffin to clawson is ridiculous

The responsibility of the linebackers has been noted as much more difficult. Mitchell-Thornton is a very smart kid, he may be the darkhorse at MLB.

Neither the Cover 2 Defense nor the Tampa 2 Defense are complex.
