Who was number 88 for us that didn't have a name on the back of his jersey? I think it was 88.


Wow watching the alabubba st game and isaihaCrowell just got LAID out

By hime wearing 88, he was an eligible receiver. I think he switched jerseys in case he had to substitute on the line.

Correct, when he was on the sideline, he had a student equipment manager standing next to him with the jersey. They put the #88 on over his usual jersey.

What’s the rule on that? I was wondering because I thought you had to report all the players and numbers officially so they can’t just change numbers willy nilly in a game.

You can do it so the guy with an ineligible number doesn't have to report as eligible to the referee on every play.

You do have to report prior to the game to the official that the number change will be happening and what numbers will be involved.
