What little I had left, and it couldn't have been much, went out the window with this game. This offense has to go. It doesn't work when it counts.

Neither one of them needs the money but they are both very Competitive. John Gruden mentioned coaching again last week mnf. There were a lot of rumors that he was in the mix when we ended up with Butch. With the roster we have now I believe the job is much more enticing. This is the guy who took Tony dungees team to the super bowl and won it. Why not do it again. It is the perfect storm. Again Vol fans I am completely aware of all the grumors the went around. Lived through it but I honestly believe the time could be now. We need to start a movement. #unseatsaban maybe that would be enough motivation to make him at least give it a look. I mean Saban is absolutely ruling cfb right now. As a competitor you would think the challenge would at least be enticing.

Gruden recently said that he couldn’t be a college coach because of all of the rules that would have him breaking violations in the first year. With that being said, I’m sure he would want to be paid more than Harbaugh. We can’t afford that. History has proven that we’re cheap so just accept that Saban and Bama rules all. We can’t compete. Might as well keep Butch. He sucks but at least he wants to be here. :dance:

Supported him until after the FL game. Best coach in the country for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. But hey, he is a " Champion of Life" because Tennessee made him a multi- millionaire regardless of what happens

Gruden is not going anywhere. I repeat, Gruden is NOT going anywhere. Just stop even mentioning his name because he flirts with every job opening there is because he likes the attention. He makes more money than we will pay him and he only has to work 25 weeks a year. Ain't happening!

3. Try not to fumble a caught pass for an interception

Good lesson for those who couldn't wait to run off Dobbs and Debord. Now we couldn't score if if our life depended on it.
We don't have any realistic legit HC options out there so our best option is to try to find a top notch assistant looking for his first HC job.
It's time some of you finally realize what most of us did 7-8 years ago, Tennessee is a high budget mid major.

Somewhat serious question...I understand buy out clauses, but I also do not understand why performance clauses are also not built into these contracts. there are ways to quantify under performance, while also protecting buyout. For example, in year 5, if the record is .500 in conference, and separation is needed, then buyout is half.

Gruden...high probability of NO, but throw him $10MM and make him say no.

Mullen. Second choice

Jim Bob. Third choice.

I live in NJ and saw Chips era in Philly. He is as arrogant on staying with "my offense" as Butch is, and will not mesh well with our fans. He's as thin skinned as Butch. We don't need that.

Seriously? A high budget mid major? We’re one of the top 10 winning programs in college football. Things have been tough since we fired Fulmer but we’re a long way from mid major territory. We just need to find the right fit at HC and we’ll be back to what we were my entire life, up until 10 years ago that is. We’ve been winning SEC championships for decades. We will again.
