I just had to be in South Pittsburg and I thought of a guy I used to know named Kenny Smith.

I have no idea how I missed that he sued Fulmer, but I did. I read the lawsuit yesterday and Kenny was telling the truth.

When it comes to academics, it is very very tough for the NCAA to prove any type of academic fraud and the reason is that college professors generally and professors who are known as "athlete friendly" specifically are so lenient with all their students that getting out of an exam or getting a makeup for a missed paper is not even special treatment.

I talked to tutors at South Carolina and Georgia as well and I suspect everyone has majors that are a bit easier that attract football players who are not candidates for the academic honor roll, but in a time when colleges around the U.S. offer History of Rock, and majors in "XXXX studies" that are a total joke it is hard to prove academic fraud.

Paying players like Alabama, Memphis and I suspect USC have done should not be allowed. The NCAA can also track that pretty well.

Getting a coaching advantage like USC did is a stupid NCAA rule.

Booster contact through Facebook etc is an unenforceable and insane rule.

Academic fraud where athletes get extra help will happen as long as stud players are getting to college without the ability to read or score a 16 on a timed ACT.

Finally I have this question. Does anyone else suspect that some of the Bama boosters are the ones paying for the pot that flows so freely into Gibbs? I knew lots of broke players that scored free pot, and I guess some of those dealers wanted to get NFL money later on (and seeing what happened with Jamal and Travis maybe they were not so stupid to think it was possible) but what if someone at Bama just wanted to hurt our program? Weed is the opposite of a performance enhancing drug, especially when someone is supposed to be losing weight on training table...

You lost me here. College kids like smoking pot enough that there would be no need for a rival school's boosters to have it "flowing into Gibbs hall."

People that smoke and deal in marijuana are usually not sinister enough to target athletes for future gain.

I could see this argument with cocaine. A lot of these kids come from poor areas where selling cocaine is a major source of money and dealers are always looking for someone to push their product.

So exactly WHY would anyone think that Smith was telling the truth over Fulmer?

I'll take Fulmers word on what happened/didn't happen etc.

This sounds too much like sour bama grapes.

If Fulmer said that athletes did not have papers written for him he straight up lied.

Fulmer did use Kenny Smith's testimony regarding Alabama paying him cash.

Fulmer did tell the NCAA that there was a rumor regarding Kenny's mom.

Kenny was even at the time a big talker, but some of the stuff Fulmer said did not happen I am sure did happen because I saw it.

Nope, just wondering whatever happened to him.

Not a snowflakes chance in hades I would ever testify in court about anything I saw or heard at UT except the time I saw two kids steal a pizza delivery truck from behind Reese. I did testify about that.

Kenny is mowing lawns with his step fathers landscaping buisiness. I see him all the time around Jasper and So Pittsburg.

Kenny Smith is nothing but trash. Last I heard he was living in a barn and hooked on drugs.

He was absolutely given a car, either a 'Stanger or a Camero, and his father was given a position with TVA in Alabama, where he played his Sr year at North Jackson.

I hope you don't call him trash to his face. All 285 pounds of him might show you that he is your Ambassador. LOL
