I'm trying to get a good vision for next year and wondered what starters we're losing next year.

I know we're retaining the entire O Line, not enough can be said about that. I think that is Outstanding!

I did not realize that fact. That will be a GREAT thing with us breaking in a new QB next year!

Ainge, Hefney, Colquitt, Parker, Young, Cottam, Brown are the big ones I can think of.

Reynolds and Ayers at DE though Reynolds is probably not the best player now. Hefney at Safety. Mapu is a part time starter and senior.

Chris Brown and Ainge are the only two on O.

Most of the issues will probably be in depth here and there. The OL should be dominating and go at least 8 deep with contributors. RB will be 3-4 deep and pretty good... especially if Hardesty gets his fair share of carries.

TE's will depend somewhat on replacing Brown. Warren could be very much like Brown if he gets in. Holbert and Cooper will be in the mix

QB battle between Crompton and Stephens could be more competitive than some think but JC should win out.

Whoever gets the job will have good to great WR's to throw to: Taylor, Rogers, Jones, O'Neal, Paige, Hancock, Moore, and Briscoe.

DL should improve except there will still be depth issues at DT.

LB's should be much improved.

Secondary depending on who replaces Hefney could be the strength of the defense.

Eric Young also leaves the O. But he's hurt and Scott filled in for him quite nicely.

I have a hard time seeing how losing 3 guys from the DL makes it much improved. Maybe it stays even, but not a huge leap up.

I also have a hard time seeing how losing a 2 year starter at LB makes the LBs better. Once again, it might stay even, but not significantly better.
Mayo and McCoy will be better, but the experience will factor in for whoever gets the OLB spot.

Also, after seeing how hard it was for NFL players to hold kicks, I'm worried about losing Casey Woods (sarcasm)

I wouldnt be suprised if Ben Martin started at DE next year.
Also, dont forget Donald stepping it up in the spring and winning a starting LB spot.

Coleman would be in the mix, esp. since he is more of a Cutcliffe type player. I would give Coleman more odds of getting a look than Stephens.

I would expect Ben Martin to start at DE next year. I would think that with the number of reps going to Crompton and not really so much to anyone else, that Crompton (barring any distasters) will be "our guy" next year.

Also, Gerald Jones and Taylor are going to be starting with Rogers at slot. Heaven help us with butterfingers at slot... all he needs to do is not catch one of JC's passes, and that thing pops up for the secondary to catch? Maybe not. ALso, I would think that Stocker will be the starting TE.

QB- Crompton Its anyones ballgame here. Would not be surprised if Stephens or Coleman won this position.
HB- Holbert/Cottam/Stocker Cottam and Stocker are and will be TE's. I don't think we will even use the H Back position next year. I bet Cooper will start as the Full Back
RB- Foster/Hardesty/Creer No Brainer here
WR- Taylor/Jones/
WR- Rogers/Briscoe/Hancock Way to early to tell about this. Ton of talent here.
OL-Scott
OL-Parker
C- McNiel
OL-McClendon
OL-Foster
Like the OL you have. Sawtelle, Richard or others could step up though and battle for a spot.

DE-Ayers/Williams
DT-Bolden
DT-WIlliams
DE-Brown/Martin/Walker
LB-Mayo
LB-McCoy
LB-Wilson
LBs to early to tell too. So many things can happen with all of the players fighting for that one last spot for next year. McKenzie, Wilson, Donald, Davis, Reveiz, Frazier, and others.
DB-Berry
DB-Vinson
DB-Willingham
DB-Johnson
Doubt it looks like this in the Defensive Backfield. You have 3 corners starting. To early to tell but I'd guess
CB- Vinson/Rogan
CB- Willingham/Johnson

S- Berry (Might even move back to corner next year)
S- ??? I hope Faison can come in and be a stud right here. If not who knows.
