Anyone in Charlotte want to give us a scene setter?

There are a ton of WVU fans in Charlotte right now. The lobby of my hotel was easily 80% Mountaineer fans. Downtown is a good mix, some bars flooded with Vol fans. I’d imagine that a lot of Tennessee fans are just coming down for the game too.

Don’t worry, the hotel staff will kick them out when they realize that the “Wonderful Whites of WV” aren’t paying for a room.

I came home through Asheville and down I-40 yesterday and VolNation was EVERYWHERE on their way to Charlotte. (I live 20 mins north of clt). I have a bet with a co-worker about who brings more. I'm confident I win that one.

Going to see a lot of Orange tomorrow!

First to say it this season.....”pictures or it didn’t happen”.......lol.

70-80 percent WVU at the Sheraton airport, went to the concert last night for Brad paisley and kane brown and I was out numbered probably 45-1 in the super vip area

WVU was probably 4-1 at the Brad Paisley/Kane Brown concert last night...not used to being outnumbered, but looks like WVU probably brought more buses and coordinated the activities some, where most UT probably driving over.

Need to send them back to their John Denver home with a loss!

If they look up in those stands after their coach told them the crowd was going to be 60/40 for WVU and they see something else, like 50/50 or 60/40 orange, the doubt kicks in before the kickoff, just sayin'

Due to the close drive, I expect a lot of Vols drive in today and only stay 1 night.

My guess is that in reality, it will be close to a 50/50 split when all is said and done. Regardless, it should be a great game and great representation by both fan bases. Brad Paisley is from West Virginia, and most WVU fans being farther from Charlotte were likely to travel down early, so it makes sense that WVU fans outnumbered Vol fans at the concert. Also, ESPN Gameday isn't in Charlotte. It's called SEC Nation, so WVU fans are less likely to care about getting up early to fight for a spot in what is expected to be an SEC/UT partisan crowd. As to the players, if the difference between a 60/40, 50/50, or 40/60 crowd split effects their play, then they shouldn't be on the field in the first place. #GoVols #LetsGoMountaineers
