Running a distant third team, which is what was expected. Mike Rozier quit the team a little over a week ago, Im sure in part due to Lamaison securing the third spot ahead of him. Rozier had a D1 scolly several years ago at NC but elected to go the pro baseball route. He had been with the team all summer, and quit midway through two a days last week. Starting job is still a battle between Stephens and Crompton with Crompton holding a slight edge (judging by snaps with the first team)
Lamaison got in the last scrimmage late and threw a pick 6 to Rod Wilks who may be the best third team safety in the conference. Seems Nick is still adjusting to the speed of the game. I look for him to redshirt unless something happens to one of the guys ahead of him.
PS Kiffin had good things to say about Nick on a CSS Talkin Sports segment that I saw today---which was taped awhile back. Lane said they wished they coulda had Nick earlier in the summer as that put him behind, but he had to take an extra class to be admitted to UT and went on to say that he obviously had talent as the numbers he put up last year attest.
