I'm glad we didn't get out of it. It'll be grudens first real game as the ut coach. And Oregon will be ranked top 5. It'll be huge!

Vandy got out of playing Ohio State and Nashville media said it was a smart move. Same Nashville media that bashed UT for not playing UNC and will really have a field day if we don't play Oregon.

Kelly started that rumor after a loss to LSU , if I'm not mistaken. It wasn't true. He claimed nobody wated to play them at their place. Then mentioned us backing out. We fired back quickly. That game is on.

Sure , we dropped UNC during a tough schedule run , but ended up playing them and having the rules changed for college football , the same season.

Look at Ohio State. They bought out the Tennessee series. While Vandy is busy buying out Ohio State and Northwestern next year.

Our schedule might change , but we haven't been like the rest of this conference. We travel and play out of conference. Not just recently. Consistently.

I heard on 680 the fan in Atlanta this very thing. They were talking about how big teams try their damnedest to buy out these other big schools when they get put on the schedule. I guess, to save face until bowl season rolls around where that kind of potential matchup lingers. Anyways, just asking if anyone else had heard this.

Hope so
