He was on the News Sentinal Sports Page this morning and pissing me off like CRAZY. An obvious Fulmerite (understandable since he played for Fulmer, but still...he was quite pathetic).

He said Kiffin was ridiculous to "guarantee" a victory against the Gators and not back it up (even though that's not what Kiffin did).

When fans told him Kiffin didn't guarantee the victory, he said, "Well, then he needs to make that clear, that he just did it to energize the fanbase." Anyone with half a brain could figure that out, Sean...

He said he didn't understand the whole "moral victory" thing. He said a loss is a loss, and that's it. It doesn't matter if you lose by 10 or 40. I'm sorry, Sean, but it DOES matter how much you lose by. The 10 point loss on Saturday showed that this team doesn't quit, unlike in 2007 and 2008. That matters. Heart matters.

He said that no one should be excited about Kiffin because he's 1-2, and Tennessee's off to a bad start...(sigh)...do I even need to reply to this one?

Yeah, I heard it. It sounded like Hook was getting irritated by the interview.

Was starting offensive tackle for Fulmer around 05. Was a top high school lineman recruited by Fulmer. He started at UT but never became the star he was projected to be out of high school.

Funny I never thought he and Fulmer saw eye to eye. At one point he quit the team because of lack of playing time to go do construction, and Fulmer went and talked to him during the offseason, and got him to come back to the team.

To a degree I understand what he is saying. In 06, UT lost to Florida by a point, and Florida went on to win the NC. It was kind of a moral victory then.

He doesn't really acknowledge the fact, that in that lost to Florida, UT looked better running the ball and on defense, then they have in years. There was reason to be optimistic. Everyone knows with a good QB, UT wins that game.

Another thing that made me mad, a caller made that point, and he said something to the effect of, "If, if if...you can't play the 'if' game." Yet he mentioned earlier something like, "If Tebow didn't fumble, they win that game probably 37-6."

Anything thing this clown says shouldn't be remotely considered as credible. I know who he is and he is the idiot that was called a REVOLVING DOORon national tv when he single handed made Alex Brown and NFL career.

You know a guy sucks if someone dedicates their first post in 3 years to ripping him.

Two pieces of bad information to clear up here.

1) Sean Young played from 2000-03

2) Josh Tucker was the one who turned Alex Brown into a first-rounder, particularly since Young was still in high school at the time

Young was in the group of high school All-American linemen that included the likes of Michael Munoz, Jason Respert, Rob Smith and later Cody Douglas that were totally wasted because Fulmer had hired the incompentent Jimmy Ray Stephens who had just been fired by Florida.:banghead2:

Sean should be pissed.........but not at Kiffin.

And since he got that wrong (badly, I might add), I guess we'll see him in 2012.

Ok I stand corrected. I usually don't post on these things because I am merely entertained at what people say. I was wrong on that game it was in 99. However Alex Brown did attend from 98-2001. It very well may have been Josh Tucker I honestly don't know, but that would mean that Cosey Coleman, Chad Clifton, Will Ofenhuesle, Fred Weary, Specer Riley, or even for petes sake Toby Champion wasn't available. Again if I'm wrong my bad but I do know he wasn't good because he was one of the starters when I was attaining my degree at UT.

Actually, they were all available. I think Ofenheusle was a freshman (and didn't have the mobility to play tackle anyway) and Weary was in his first year on the offense after being switched from DL.

Like I said dude my bad, but like I said as for knowing who he is I know exactly the guy. He was tats all up his arm(s). As far as Ofenhuesle and Weary you are correct without a doubt and that is again my mistake they obviously wouldn't be playing. Then again I can't believe they had someone like Tucker playing either, not saying he didn't, just not someone I remember at all.

I don't understand........If a loss is a loss, whether by 10 or 40 points, then why is a win not a win even when you only win by a few points? To me, keeping a game close does matter. That means you went toe to toe with the other team. Sounds like Young has that "Oscar Meyer" disease.

some of you guys are way too sensitive. Every day there are posts like this bashing someone for thier opinion. Dont get mad at him if you think he is stupid get mad at the people who are paying him to voice his opinion. Or do what I do and understand that 100% of vol fans dont like kiffin and there really is nothing wrong with that.

If the KNS paid him for the interview he gave, then whoever is in charge of such things needs to be fired.

Sean Young is from the tiny town of Cohutta GA in Whitfield County. There was an article in the nearby Dalton, GA newspaper a few days after he committed to Tennessee where his parents kicked him out of the house because he didnt sign with UGA. Sean Young was an overrated turd of an Offensive Lineman and white trash to boot.

Wow...try and be a little more classy than that. Just because you don't agree with him or didn't think he had the ability, that's a little over the top.

Here's what happened....
And, first off, Brown was lining up on both sides and beating both tackles....

Brown was able to jump the snap count because he picked up on a little trick that Tee Martin and Spencer Riley were doing.

Tee would actually tap the top of his hand on Spencer's rump JUST BEFORE he said "Hut!" and Spencer would snap it.

That enabled Martin and Riley to get a jump on the rest of the players from scrimmage.

Unfortunately, Brown picked up on it, and he, too was able to get that same jump.

At one point in the game, RG Cosey Coleman told RT Josh Tucker that he would take the outside rush (Brown) and Tucker would step in and take Cosey's man.

Brown beat Cosey to the edge, too, even though Cosey had a superior angle than the tackle.

So it wasn't about the tackles -- it was about a tendency Brown picked up on. He discussed it in Sports Illustrated after what I believe was a five-sack night that led to the defending national champions losing to a VERY inexperienced Florida team.

The Gators also knew the Vols audibles, and that's why they were able to stop Jamal on the final drive -- Tee audibled to a run the opposite side of where Brown was lined up, and as soon as he did all the Florida players started pointing right where Jamal was to run.

That's the whole story.

As for Sean Young, he speaks his mind, and I respect that even if I don't always agree.
