Anyone hear an update on the potential PWill injury?

Damned green jerseys. Everyone is so afraid of injuries. Contact sport. After one game, I wonder if we don't need to scrap the green jerseys and get a bit more physical in practice.

FWIW: Can't remember in which article I read this last week, but CBJ discovered from conversations with more than a few coaches that Tennessee did more live tackling in practice this preseason than any of the other coaches' teams did.

It might be because we're more physical in practice that we've seen so many green jerseys this year.

[Now cue some smart guy to post, "But was he talking to golf coaches?"]

Still felt like he caught it using just size and let it fall into his hands. I just want to see him catch a ball away from his body that's not right in front of him

Right. This IMO is why he's shows a propensity to drop/not caught balls that if he's going to be a star has to make. So far he just hasn't exhibited that ability yet. Granted Dobbs for whatever reason hasn't throw too many perfectly catchable balls but most QBs don't. So PW is going to have to show he can catch the ball with his hands, secure it, then make a football move and make YAC,

Neither are going to become rock stars if Butch is afraid to throw the damn ball

Clearly you are a better choice to be Head Coach and OC. Tell you what, get your resume over to Dave Hart and I will email him my approval. They can start you out at $3.5 million per year and if you get us back to Tampa, there will be a $1 Meeeeeelyun Dollar bonus, OK? Can you start on Tuesday?:loco:

Most of the team looked soft on Thursday night.

The poster from last week who complained about the green jerseys doesn't appear so naive at this point. The running backs appear to need real game type scrimmaging. Ditto for the O line and D line. Experience counts but doesn't trump toughness.

All 22 Vols had their ego's badly bruised

I hope all 85 Scolly athletes and maybe another 20+ walkons, plus the coaches, training staff, administration, cheer leaders, Pride of the Southland Band, major boosters, and anyone that wears the right shade of orange come Saturdays in the fall has got a bruised ego! My ego's still dang near black and blue! A cold six pack helps but I'm still limping and sore as hell. The doctor said the only cure is a Hokie beat down. I'm trying to get in for that treatment come Saturday night! :loco:

Someone said it was his hip. Not good if so. He stayed banged up the whole season last year. We need him healthy period.
