for the ranking followers, 2012 isn't going to be kind. we'll have fewer schollies to hand out and need some serious DT help. stars may be at a premium. JMO

5th or 6th in the SEC

Exactly. This is the most devastating thing about it. Even with all the big names we signed at the end, our top rivals in the SEC continue to distance themselves from us. Very frustrating, but it certainly could have been worse. Thank goodness for the commits we picked up over the past couple days.

There were several guys on the fence that didn't go Tennessee's way. Several recruiting analysts were predicting Dawson and Wright to Tennessee.

Dare I say, none of the experts, on this board or otherwise, batted 1.000 today.

What about Quinton Pompey, 3 star, 6'3" 275 out of Bradenton, Florida, should CDD offer him?

Not to upset about Jernigan because I knew he was a longshot but losing Dawson to USC is painful. I would bet my house that he was All Vol last night and Kiffin offered money or something. Kiffin is a dirty recruiter him and that fat slob Orgeron.

The Kentucky home pressure seems like it was too much for Dawson while still looking for a bigger stage. Going to the Vols was going to be tough on him. Good luck to him at USC.

I was wondering the same thing. I noticed he is the highest rated dt not signed to a school yet and that we are on his interest list. No offer showing up though. It's worth a shot just to get one more dt imo.

Twitter was not our friend. Too much drama over too many phantom fish who were chasing other hooks all along.
