Anyone Else Tired Of The Saints?

I probably should have put it a different way because it's not the Saints I can't stand it's the bandwagoners like you say.

There are way more Colt bandwagon fans in Tennessee. Last I checked Indianapolis is not in Tennessee.

GO SAINTS---Im tired of the Colts fans!

Conspiracy theorists unite:

For those of you planning on betting on the game, read this:

WalterFootball.com: NFL Picks Against the Spread - Super Bowl XLIV

Scroll about half-way down and read the blurb about Scott Green, the head official for the game. It's the article underneath the SWEEP THE LEG meme.

I'm no conspiracy theorist, but it does make me second-guess the bet i was planning on laying down on the Colts.

I had already planned on the Saint's due to the fact that they have just as powerful of an offense. Colts barely beat the Patriots at Home. Saint's destroyed Patriots at Home. Saints +6 is a lot of points for the Colts to be giving in a Super Bowl.

So someone has to live in the city or state of the team in which they are fans of?

I agree. I am completely fed up with the notion that they were the the new "americas team" because of Katrina. Their fanbase is closely related to the generally ignorant LSU fanbase.

+1

you mean like how you mindless Saints fans who didn't start following the Saints until the bought their Bush/Brees jersey? :p
Don't have either jersey. Been following them some since the early 90's

The Saints also got blown out by the Cowboys, lost to the Bucs, were a missed chip shot of a field goal away from getting beat by the Redskins and were down 24-3 I believe to Miami, so it's not like the Saints were world beaters all season.

Agree with that. Completely detest the notion that any team in any of the sports is "America's team."

About the same time the Colts put it on cruise control. Both teams let up at the end of regular season. Never said they were world beaters, just made a mid-season comparison. Just strictly speaking from a gamblers perspective, there's not a very good chance of Peyton blowing them out.

I spent 3 months in New Orleans post Katrina trying to help people and have never met a more ungreatful groups of douches in my life. I met a handful of really good people that I still keep in contact with to this day but most of them deserve a kick in the balls more than they do a superbowl. If the colts win I don't know if I'll be more excited that Peyton won another superbowl or that the Saints didn't.

Is anyone else out there like me and sick and tired of how everyone thinks that the Saints "deserve" to win the Super Bowl or how it would heal the community because of the Katrina disaster? The media keeps saying that nobody is giving the Saints a chance and that they will use that as motvation to beat the Colts but alot like the last Vols-Gators game they seem to forget that the team that is supposed to get pounded may have something to say about it.I'm not sure who it is that's not pulling for the Saints because that is all I've heard from people and here in Kingsport I've already seen a car with a giant Saints sticker in the back window, I guess he had to hurry and jump on the bandwagon and claim he is a lifelong Saints fan.The only reason the Saints don't get humiliated by Peyton is because it is New Orleans and I'm sure he doesn't want to humiliate them on worldwide tv, that said Colts 38 Saints 13.

so basically, since you're a colts fan, you hate them saying anything good about the opposing team or what it and it's city have had to go through?

You feel it should all just be 24/7 manning coverage instead?

Im just as tired of hearing how Manning is "GOD" as you are of us. We dont think we "deserve" to win because of Katrina. Thats the stupid media running that crap in the ground. Heaven forbid we are excited about the first time ever going to the Superbowl. I cant believe my Vols I love so much would have such hateful fans. Some of the things people said on here are just nuts!!!! Talk all the trash you want about New Orleans but remember your golden boy was born and raised there!!!

I don't think Manning is God at all. I've pissed off a lot of Peyton sycophants on here by calling him the greatest quarterback in the history of the Citrus (Capital One) Bowl.

He was a great quarterback who won a lot of games for Tennessee. But the only thing Tennessee ever won was the 1997 SEC championship. A lot of that is the fault of his defenses, but it is what it is. And I thought it was utterly disrespectful for UT to retire his number (and two others) alongside four men who gave their lives in World War II. I'm disappointed that he and Doug Atkins both didn't tell the school to cram the idea.

But all that said, I hope he wins on Sunday and I hope he wins three or four more Super Bowls after that, and goes down in history as the greatest quarterback who ever played in the NFL.

The Colts never lost a game in which the starters played the whole game, especially to the Bucs at home. And I would not say 5 points is not a blow out.

What about the four national championships won by Robert Neyland's Vols and the 1998 BCS title?

So you pick out one common opponent and make your justification on that? What about the fact that the Saints needed 5 Viking turnovers, OT, and some questionable OT official calls to even make this game?

Not saying the Saints can't win, but this "They beat Team A better than the other team did" has been proven to be pretty stupid logic.

First, the obvious… Peyton Manning. Beyond that I pretty much can't stand New Orleans or LA. Some of you will read the rest of this post and say I am a cold hearted S.O.B. You do not know who I am. I am all for helping those who can't help themselves or are down on their luck. I think those that refuse to help themselves should suffer the consequences of their own actions.

Let's start with the corrupt politicians: Gov. Huey Long, Gov. Edwin Edwards, US Rep. William Jefferson, US Rep. David Vitter., NO councilman Oliver Thomas, NO DA Eddie Jordan, etc. etc. etc. You get the idea. The people of the city/state continue to elect these guys then they support them after they are convicted or not convicted but found with bags of $ hidden in their freezers. This leads me to the next big reason I am pulling against the Saints.

New Orleans is full of a bunch of absolute idiots. The crime rate is ridiculous, average education level is even worse, they relish in the fact that they don't speak good English, and these morons couldn't even grasp the concept that they live below sea level while a category 5 hurricane bears down on them. This leads me to my next reason.

American tax dollars are STILL paying for the low life's that refuse to support themselves in that he** hole of a city. I'm not even going to delve into this subject. Katrina shined a light on these morons. It also scattered them throughout the US. This leads me to one more reason I am pulling against the Saints.

I owned a real estate company in '05. First, the govt. put an absolute stop on the foreclosure market in my area. Then the filled some of the houses with Katrina "victims". Many others were taken on by local churches and civic groups. Many of the houses were absolutely destroyed by these people. I experienced it firsthand.

Ok. My diatribe is over. I realize not ALL of the New Orleans natives are as described above. Many of them are great people. I am not painting everyone with this broad brush, but don't kid yourself if you are from the area. You know exactly what I am talking about.

I know exactly who you are talking about. A very small group of people. Not enough to label a whole city or region. I love people who think they have it all figured out. You can think what you want. A few stupid remarks will not spoil my Sunday! Geaux Saints...oops is that me relishing in the fact that I dont speak good English!!??
