Is anyone else out there like me and sick and tired of how everyone thinks that the Saints "deserve" to win the Super Bowl or how it would heal the community because of the Katrina disaster? The media keeps saying that nobody is giving the Saints a chance and that they will use that as motvation to beat the Colts but alot like the last Vols-Gators game they seem to forget that the team that is supposed to get pounded may have something to say about it.I'm not sure who it is that's not pulling for the Saints because that is all I've heard from people and here in Kingsport I've already seen a car with a giant Saints sticker in the back window, I guess he had to hurry and jump on the bandwagon and claim he is a lifelong Saints fan.The only reason the Saints don't get humiliated by Peyton is because it is New Orleans and I'm sure he doesn't want to humiliate them on worldwide tv, that said Colts 38 Saints 13.

Not me. I'm rooting against them, but I love the story and that this Super Bowl actually has a story.

This is the first Superbowl, in a long time, that actually looks to be a an entertaining game.

Im like BPV. I enjoy the fact that it has a story to it.

I'm not sick of the Saints, just sick of all the "Who Dat" bandwagoners.

I probably should have put it a different way because it's not the Saints I can't stand it's the bandwagoners like you say.

Conspiracy theorists unite:

For those of you planning on betting on the game, read this:

WalterFootball.com: NFL Picks Against the Spread - Super Bowl XLIV

Scroll about half-way down and read the blurb about Scott Green, the head official for the game. It's the article underneath the SWEEP THE LEG meme.

I'm no conspiracy theorist, but it does make me second-guess the bet i was planning on laying down on the Colts.

I was sick of this whole New Orleans story three years ago. I feel bad for the people who live there, but I'm not going to root for their football team because a bunch of idiots decided decades ago to expand a huge city onto a massive floodplain. Just like I wouldn't root for UNLV out of sympathy if Las Vegas suddenly was unable to get enough water.

If the Saints win, good for them. But I'm rooting for the Colts and I'm not going to feel the least bit guilty for doing so.

I'm sorry Katrina was 5 years ago.
They are partying like nothing ever happened and you don't hear anything about this crap until they bring up the Saints in the Super Bowl; guess what those players didn't suffer jack because the Saints and the NFL took care of their belongings and their families...the city suffered but the team and the players...nope...they didn't. Had they gone to the SB two years after it then the story would stand but now, 5 years when no one seems to care about it anymore? Oh please, I hope the Colts Offense destroys the Saints.

I was more sickened by their story of healing back in 2006 during their playoff run which was pretty much right after the Katrina deal... but I don't mind it as much this year for whatever reason Been pulling for them since the playoffs started and hope they crush the Colts.

I've been glad to see the Saints do well this year, but these last two weeks have been ridiculous here in Louisiana.

Yep kinda sick of the Saints "story", though I do like the Saints. But, even more just sick to death of the mindless colts bandwagon babble. It's embarrassing to see grown men in their 18 jersey act like Richard Simmons at the mention of peyton manning. :jpshakehead:

I agree. I am completely fed up with the notion that they were the the new "americas team" because of Katrina. Their fanbase is closely related to the generally ignorant LSU fanbase.

I've been a Saints fan since club-footed Tom Dempsey kicked that 64-yard game-winning field goal. New Orleans is a much more fun city than Indianapolis, too. Go Saints!

New Orleans every year has one of the highest crime/murder rates of any city in the entire U.S. Why should I pull for a city of people that would shank me, rob me, car jack me, and leave me for dead? I know that is pretty dramatic but I'm just saying.

I hate the Saints and the entire city of New Orleans. I hope they lose by 50 points. The notion that they are America's team is absolutely ridiculous. The large part of America could not care less about the city of New Orleans or the Saints.

So is Haiti America's nation now? If natural disasters are a qualifier then it should be. Hell, I would cheer for Haiti to win the Super Bowl before I would the Aints. Who Dat???? Ridiculous.
