Did you already forget the part of a guy that has never been a college head coach possibly defeating the mighty Bammers?uh no it hasn't.
You were making a big deal that i left out the word "head" in the term head coach and then corrected myself. And that was the only thing your argument was based off of.
UT and Bama are rivals?? WHAT??
correct. He hasn't been a head coach.. ever. Therefore, he does not compare to the Top 5 coaches in the SEC.
After one year, he still will not compare.. after 2, 3, 4 years.. the jury is still out on that one.
Don't fail to realize that i NEVER said he would never become a good/great coach. He has the potential. But don't try to say that he is comparable to coaches with championships at this point in his career.. no matter which assistants he has.
Moreno was held up as the reason GA was a preseason number 1 last year. TN has a better RB than Moreno. Further, TN will not fumble the ball every time we are about to score, because Arian Foster no longer can singlehandedly lose more games than anyone I can remember in my 3 decades as a vol fan.
TN versus Alabama will be a very good game, but if our defense just looks NASTY under Kiffin, we could go into that game as favorites. Say we barely lose to Florida and kill everyone else leading into that game. How? A defense that gets turnovers (Eric Berry is being joined by new talent that can play like J Jackson) and a running game that eats up clock and scores TDs.

I just don't see how our defense will be NASTY next year. Perhaps in 2011 when all these good looking recruits have a year or two under their belt.
We could possibly jump Georgia because we seem to be able to periodically, but I doubt we can handle Bama this year or next year.
We're a couple of great recruiting classes away from closing the gap on these teams.
we have the ability to beat UGA at home. theyve lost some star power, and they by no means have an easy first 5 games before they come to Knox. we could easily go into that game 4-1 with momentum, and they could be 3-2 struggling. it will take our best play, but we hung with them last year and they were clearly the better team.
It may just be me but i think Georgia and Alabama are going to be in the same situaton that us and Auburn were last year. Losing a star quarterback like Ainge and some big play makers and not knowing what they are going to get out of the next in line? Heck Ainge looked awful the year he split snaps with Clausen and great the next, maybe Crompton will do the same? I think we win both of these games.
