I was in school with Tim Priest. I like him a lot but I don't envy him in the lockerroom but at least he has not embarassed anyone yet. I agree, it was the dumbest question I have ever heard anyone ask a sports figure. Even dumber than "how long have you been a black quarterback?".

I wonder how long we'll be stuck with Kesling. I'd have no problem with him doing the TV segments and remaining the Director of Broadcasting as long as he wasn't doing play by play.

Oh, and Bert Bertelkamp is the most unbearable color guy...ever.

I'm rowing in this boat friend. Still, I get chills whenever I hear his voice. When he did an announcement at the Fan Day 2 years ago, it was like something out of a dream.

The university should try to coax him into doing at least one game a year. Have him guest commentate for Homecoming or something.

I remember that during the '98 NC my dad muted the TV so he could listen to John Ward. I think we all miss that guy.

Was 11 years old and taking a piss under Vandy stadium when that happened. Thought the stands were going to fall down on top of me.

Kesling's "to the cheggarboards" might be the lamest saying ever.

I'm also not sure if he could be more unenthusiastic, if that's even a word, if he tried. Kesling sounds like he's afraid he might offend someone if he gets excited.

Ironically he's not bad at basketball and I think Bertlekamp is awesome when he's in full homer mode.

I'd love that. Kesling is a great guy and everything but Keith would do a much better job IMO. I think Kesling lacks a lot of the enthusiasm that Ward brought and that Keith brings to the Titans.

The Voice of the vols is a lifer job. Until Kesling decides to walk away it is his unless he does something like get arrested and brings the black eye to UT. That more than likely won't happen so lets hope Kesling has enough money and just wants to retire early and spend time with his family now that his cancer issues seem to be in order.

Do I miss John Ward...... yes

I also miss the cannon on the Hill that was shot after every score

Neither one are coming back so I have moved on
