They do not matter. Players freely transferring. Find one player that was not able to transfer in the post spring practice portal due to grades - and name that player within 1 minute without having to dig into google.

Both Nico and Joey are having to take finals before they can even transfer. Also most players take academics seriously, even ones that don’t get good tudors. GBO

Yet you can’t name a player that was not able to transfer due to grades. And I think you need a “tutor” unless most players buy a “Tudor” style home.

This is one area where the NCAA did a good job IMO. Forcing better performance in the classroom by athletes. And it’s one thing I hope sticks.

I don’t know how any coach who truly cares about their players can allow them to squander the opportunity for a degree. Because it can really alter a young person’s adult trajectory for the good.

You really don't know what you're talking about here. Top shelf athletes at top shelf schools are better students as a whole more so than the previous generations. Most P5 signees are good students now when they go to college. You should really do some research as to why and then you will know better

We see players enter the portal all the time, and then not transfer to any other school.

I'd bet in some of those cases--not all, but some--the player was not accepted at any school he wanted to go to, because of...yep, academics.

Now, it's not in the school's interest to rat the kid out to the world. So they don't say anything. And it's not in the player's interest to admit he got turned down for grades. So he doesn't say anything.

So no one says anything.

And that's why you can't name any player that was denied a transfer due to grades.

But you keep being you, thinking academics no longer matter. Heh.

I’m saying that grades ave classes don’t matter anymore - no one talks about that anymore abd players are transferring yearly.

Excuse me, tutor! Anyway the facts are most players go to class. Most still graduate. I am not going to argue with you. Your just acting like a jerk behind a keyboard. You don’t have a clue.

I know enough to know that grades don’t matter anymore - free agency reigns supreme. It’s all about the $$$.

That may be true but I've read about several that took online courses also. Shedeur Sanders didn't attend a single class in Boulder the first year he was at CU and he may not have gone to one at all. And Prime said he had a 3.9 GPA
