Anyone else hear Basilio & John Brice talking Tiyon Evans

It will only be verified if the player makes it public. Coach/staff cannot identify players who have tested positive.
Sounds to me like the guys on the radio heard it from a friend of a friend of Tiyon's sister's husband's brother.

If it somehow ends up being true then it's on the players themselves for not taking the proper steps to avoid the Vols potentially forfeiting a game down the line.

So it’s his fault for getting sick? GTFOH!

I'm still unsure about what testing is required for the team.

Sadly, a vax is helpful but no guarantee against getting it and Knox Cty is just "eat up" with COVID and classes just started. Exposure is pretty much given unless they essentially put the team in a bubble.

It's likely to get worse as temps drop and more people are socializing inside, including students and football players.

Question? How is that Saban last year missed a game with Covid but it didn't effect any players......Kiffin was out Monday night with Covid but didn't effect any player or coaches.....Do head coaches not get close or have any contact with players? Can't figure that out.

Soooooo, forgive me as I am clueless here... has anything official been announced?
The team can't specifically name a player as COVID positive because of HIPAA. Friends or family or the player might talk but you'll hear nothing more than "We do have a positive case or two......" or something like that from UT.

So far, we've not heard even that yet AFAIK. It's not like UT wants to talk about it so the media will have to force a comment, I'm assuming.

Both those teams are reporting near or 100% vaxd. Break through cases are exceptionally rare, and are almost always due to other underlying conditions, like diabetes, immune deficiencies, or like being old.

Not sure that’s true. I know several who got vaccinate but recently had covid and were healthy individuals but who knows how all this works.

Either way. We better win Saturday lol

You can test positive and be asymptomatic, while still being vaccinated with no underlying health prior condition.

I know since I was very exposed over the weekend..............it's not considered close contact if you are outdoors, also you must be within 6' for at least 15 min.'s.

Luckily, I got the Moderna wich is 74% effective. I tested neg. yesterday and today. Since I was vaccinated I didn't have to isolate for 14 days. So thankful that I didn't miss any work.

I understand the confusion. There are no definitives, but we know that. My sister works with infectious diseases out in Washington. Heres what I know.

Hate it for Evans. Hopefully he has no complications and is back sooner rather than later.
That being said, an opportunity awaits for some other RB. The door is open, time to step through…………. GBO! 🍊🍊🍊
Yep, hope he had both shots. Would make it a lot less severe.

He's young, not at all fat, no underlying conditions (assumed)...... basically everything I'm not, so he's got a great chance of just feeling like he's got a lousy cold.

If you're old, fat, and can't spell nor pronounce all the conditions your doc lists on your record after your physical, you'd probably want to avoid COVID.

Any way to just... Not report if a player thinks he has covid?

Im not going to say how i know this....

BUT. I know for a fact that a local hospital, last year, was so understaffed that then nurses and doctors were sending in covid tests that they had dipped in saline solution so they could continue to work.......and some of those tests came back positive and they were sent home for two weeks.

This obviously, raises alot of questions about....alot of things. Medical staff and testing accuracy mainly. Lol.

Our staff needs to figure out how to manage kids missing time due to covid without saying they were exposed or have it. That's way to close to a HIPAA violation IMO. Not sure people need to know specifics about a players health unless the player has not problem with the details being released.
