24 hours left... This is the most excited I have been for UT football in about 4 or 5 years. I have been looking forward to this season since February. I think the pieces are there to begin the turnaround we have been waiting on.

There are so many unknowns going into this game and such a huge game for this team. This game and the Florida game will determine how the season will play out. We lose this game and we may not recover.

How will the other receivers respond without Darick?
How good is our run game/Oline?
How good is our Defense?

We'll soon find out... only 24 hours left.

The most nervous I have ever been. Although I do think we will be fine if we lose the season opener. I'm more concerned about our conference play. Lose to NC State but beat Florida and either Georgia or USC (or both) and I will forget we even played NC State

there is a lot of pressure and build up for Dooley and thats why I think this game is a must win, but I hope you're right.

I'm overly confident for this game. I don't see any way we lose.

I was feeling this way and then yesterday it occurred to me that it's very possible we lose - it was like a strange epiphany. I liked the overconfidence better. All I know is I can't wait.

I'm excited, nervous, scared and all the above. I keep telling myself we're gonna clobber them, but deep down I'm afraid that it'll be close and if we lose, I don't know what I'll do.

Haha I'm the exact same way. I talk to my dad about TN football every night after work on the phone and he's worried because of what the media is saying. I've been telling him night after night that losing is next to impossible. Will be Cinci all over again. I hope I'm right!

Last time i was this excited was the disaster in pasadena during Fulmer's last year. I really hope we dont go down that path again. My gut tells me that the Vols are going to be alright on Friday, just wish it would hurry up and get here......
