Anyone else feel down when...

I feel down watching Bama because of the powerhouse they have created is just about iron clad. The talent on field and on the sidelines makes me see how far we have to go.

I like Dabo Swinney. I hope they pull it out. Anyone but Bama.

You watch the National Championship game every year? It makes me sick to my stomach watching Bama get all the hype and excitement leading up to the game. Tennessee hasn't got to experience that since 1998 and it's disheartening to know that it's been that long. The worst part is our Administration doesn't care about cherishing those types of moments again cause they're not serious about winning. While Butch is a lot to blame, our Administration is keeping us from being National Title contenders. That just shows on how much they really care about UT fans.

You nega fans are so funny. Most of what you are saying is not true.

I'm so tired of watching Bama every year. I always hated them but it's getting to the point where it's Biblical type hate now. I have some friends who are Bama fans/grads and I don't really get into hating people or fans of a school. But the team and what it stands for makes me sick to my stomach. I rarely wear anything with any shade of red in it because it reminds me of Bama. I hate seeing those stupid toilet paper rolls and tide detergent on a pole signs(If you've seen it you know what I'm talking about). I hate that obnoxious Elephant roar at the old Legion field. I hate that they overcount their National Titles even though they have a lot already. I hate that people worship Bear Bryant even though he invented and perfected cheating in College Football. I really hope that Clemson wins tonight and would also get some additional satisfaction in knowing that Lane Kiffin's immaturity and subsequent firing may have cost them another title. I hope that this is the beginning of their downfall and that they hire another Price, Shula, Franchione or Dubose as their next HC when that arrogant midget finally retires or tries the NFL again! Go Vols!

Perspective young man. You think '98 is so long ago? Drift on over to wiki and see how far back you need to go before '98. I'm glad I got to see one...one...in my lifetime. I'm just shy of 60 and doubt I live to see another for UT.
I'm thinking the same. I'd be happy to see a 10 win before I die.:cray:

Not sure what you are sick about UT is historically an 8-4 program:)

Tennessee and the Cleveland Browns are managed by the same people...to expect competence from them is asinine. Take your 2nd/3rd place in the division and mid-tier bowls and like it.

No, no, no! I am proud of our SEC brothers representing our fine conference in a stellar way! Remember - they struggled when we were good. We are back! We are better than that 9-4 record - injuries slowed us down! In the meantime, be happy for our crimson brothers and sisters as they get to enjoy the fruits of the hard work by their wonderful head coach! Roll Tide - until Butch and the Vols play you! :dance2:

Not a match.

Couldn't you explain what you mean by we are better than our 9-4 record? I have difficulty understanding things not based on facts and it is a fact that we are not better (or worse) than our 9-4 record.

As for the rest, your mother should be watching your mouth out with soap. Gross

Won't be watching this game. It would only be entertaining if bama got smoked and I doubt that happens.

A. Just because you ain't winning, doesn't mean that Tennessee isn't trying. In addition, you ain't the only one trying and not succeeding. National titles are hard.

B. Because Alabama is not a rival, the main thing that is painful for me is watching teams like this play and to know how truly far away from that my squad is.

Bama is on a different level than rest of the Sec in football. Kentucky is in basketball. I think sec likes it that way.

Well, I am considered old by VN standards and there has been 1 National Championship game in my lifetime along with 1 sighting of Haley's comet. At the time we told each other " one day these will be the GOOD OLD DAYS. And we were right, doggone it.

As much as I enjoy Tennessee football and love following recruiting etc I must confess I'm at the point in my life that I'm not going to get sick, cry, curse, or display any other emotion reserved for really serious issues in life. Maybe years ago when my priorities were really screwed up ...I might. I married into a family of men in the family who made their living coaching in the SEC. Big time coaches who most on this board would know. And I never saw them act that way either. I think it's USUALLY the fans who act that way. JMO

Hey now we have went 9-4 (4-4) in the sec cause butch didnt set winning the east with his most experienced and talented team yet. Maybe next year he will care enough to make it a priority and possible beat sec gutter teams like usc and vandy

Typical pointless comment. Right, he didn't set winning the East as a goal. And you didn't take in to account actual events during the season. Yep, doubt he'll make it a priority next year.

No, it's still college football, I enjoy the game, and I have other, bigger things in life to worry about
