Good Lord! Heupel is a very good offensive mind--check out his offense rankings over the years. If he can put together a defensive staff, this could work out just fine. We're going on probation and losing players right and left. I'm thinking the BIG NAME coaches weren't buying into this. I'm not unhappy with the hire--I'm optimistic.

I'll take him. I guarantee you our guys can't mop. We need to clean house 100% and clean this losing stench out totally.
I'm assuming Steele stays, but I hope JH brings his staff up and hits the ground running.

It’s just the smell. If we had hired an AD from one place and a coach from another this would be much more palatable for me.

Again, I’ll come around, but I don’t like the quick look of this and I’m just tired of having blind faith in these hires.

Heupel could be the guy that stabilizes and sets us up to land a good coach years from now. Or he could be the guy that gets us back. We don’t know yet, I’m going to give him all my support.
