While I am pumped about the season and will be there early, I can't help but notice that there are tickets available in MULTIPLE sections throughout the upper deck and looking at ebay and the ticket forum here there are a lot available. Anyone else concerned we may have less than 100,000 Saturday?

Nope. I'll bet it fills up. New coaching staffs tend to get butts in seats.

Why do you think there are so many tickets still available straight from UT the week of the game?
I don't think it sells out. Tickets available through UT and online not to mention all the scalpers will never get rid of theirs.

My mom usually gets dibs on tickets for home openers from First Tennessee, but she missed it, so I'm guessing there will be a sizeable crowd.

Why should we be concerned; what happens if there is less than 100K?

Maybe concern is the wrong word, I will just be disappointed. I would simply love the recruits, namely Bray, to see a packed house. Going to be great either way but a packed house would look better than sme empty seats. That's all I am saying. Plus, if we look good, future games will sell out quicker.

The last I read which was yesterday I believe there were 900 tickets available still, but many will get tickets throughout the week and even on game day I'm sure.

Typically not from UT though. Scalpers, yes. For example, there are no tickets from UT for Auburn and Georgia.

Also, as a season ticket holder, I got 2 requests from UT to buy more which hasn't happened before.

I am not worried about WKU...but we need to sell out for UCLA...it will be our first game with national recognition. Can't wait for this Sat. though!

These may be tickets returned by WKU if they could not sell their allotment.

I think some are but not all. Anyway, I can not wait. I have looked forward to this game more than any game in recent history. After a win Saturday, I will not be able to wait until UCLA!

There must be a lot of tickets still available. You can still buy season tickets in the north endzone and single game tickets in the south endzone. So you still can technically get Georgia and Auburn tickets in the season ticket packages. UT is still requiring a $250 donation for season tickets which is probably inhibiting sales in these bad economic times. If more people had work then maybe some of them could afford donations.

That's my whole point. I think ticket sales are down in general and it probably has to do with economy more than anything. That is why I don't think we sell out this week.

I think it will be a sell out. With the holiday weekend and nice weather (I guess. Not sure what the forecast will be), there should be a lot of walk up ticket sales. I would love to be there, but I can't go...Have fun!

I would be there if I didn't live in Georgia and didn't have to work this weekend but I will be enjoying it on TV! Go Vols! I'm so excited about what this season will hold for our guys.

Yeah today on Vol Calls they were advertising the tickets and Kesling made sure to point out they were the tickets sent back from Western Kentucky. Still though, hit me as strange. It is the beginning of a new and exciting era in Knoxville and for the VOL NATION as a whole.

I know as far as student tickets go I had no problems and I'm a freshman and they even said they are allowing "guest" tickets for this game where non students can sit in the student section which tells me student demand was not great
