And do you believe that's a lack of talent or a lack of good coaching?

You can't tell me we have a less talented team than Wyoming & UCLA.

The scores (the only # that matters) would appear to disagree with you.

What is the deal with Richt? I have some friends that are Georgia grads and they are not happy supposidly having a #1 preseason team. Is there a negative feeling going around in Athens?

I haven't heard any. He's an offensive-minded HC and we lead the SEC in total offense. Now Martinez, the D coordinator, is a different story.

In the movie '' Remember the Titans '' theres a scene between two of the main characters (players) in a discussion about the teams chemistry. The last line in the scene IMO speaks to the problems we see on the Vols roster. ''Attitude reflects leadership, captain''....Have we see better players than we have on the roster now? You bet we have...but still what we have on the roster would be a good solid football team if their attitude was different. IMO what we see suited up this year was a direct product of CPF's coaching style, at least his recent style. In this season and since 05' his approach to running this team is evident in his players approach to preparation and execution we see on the field, I feel thats why CPF is justifiably soon to be replaced.
There is some talented players on the team. But they're thin on quality and quantity.

UT made a mistake letting Phil go...and you'll all be regretting it. There are a number of positives that Fulmer brings to the table:

1. He's a good storyteller.
2. He doesn't cuss.
3. He's never watched an R rated movie.

That may not be important to some of you heathen, but it's darn sure important to me. Forgive my language, but this is a subject I'm very passionate about.

Post of the day, and it's still early.

This is what's important for these young men under Fulmer's watch. You can look at all the players that he has coached over the years and see "great character' written all over them (with the exception of Britton, Jamal, Cheese, etc...). Forget winning games, we need a coach to teach them how to become men.......blahblahblah....

I'd rather win.

Wow Jaytrain5, if not cussing and telling good stories were the qualifications for coaching I guess we should keep Fulmer. I hope the new coach is so passionate about winning he'll cuss, kick, jump up and down, argue, and do whatever to win as he should. We don't need a goody two shoes - we need a dern football coach!

Goodbye Phil, you're a good guy with millions for not having to work.....not bad

I have the memories of the building up to the very good teams and the incredible 98 season, but after 2001 it has been let down after let down. It's time for you and UT to move forward.

Thanks for all you've done... :wavey:
