I have never seen them play before and have no clue what they run. Has anybody on here seen them play before? What should we look for next week? Thanks and GBO.

They suck but will be a challenge for our young Oline.

It's going to be a big challenge for our young football team. I'm excited and encouraged.

They're a good FCS team, but UT will handle them easily. They may kick a couple of FGs but that's it.

This is the best team UTC has had in my lifetime. We should still win easily, but if we half-ass this game, it could be closer than people think.

The disappointment is that I find it intriguing to wonder if they might have a legitimate shot in this game a la Georgia Southern @ Florida 2013. They are a ranked team in FCS.

Offense:
They run a very unorthodox offense. Has both pro, spread, and zone read option elements to it. Their quarterback, Jacob Huesman, is pretty good for their league so is both of their running backs. Keyon Williams is the workhorse and Marquis Green is a guy they like to get in space. Very good speed. Have a very athletic tight end, Faysal Shafaat, he's good enough to play on Sundays. They also have a good wide receiver in Tommy Hudson. Very fast as well. However, they have had some injuries on the offensive line and I don't think they are very good up front.

Defense:
Defensive line may be their best unit. Derrick Lott is a transfer from UGA, and Davis Tull is arguably one of the best defensive players in the FCS. He is UTC's all time sack leader and the bestoverall athlete on the Mocs squad. Linebackers are okay and their secondary has some good athletes.

I think we win pretty easily but don't be surprised if the Mocs make some plays early.

That DE can play. Huesman a pretty solid QB too.

Kevin Revis would be MVP of our OL had he stayed.

I strongly doubt it. The coaching sucks but the players haven't quit yet.

Yesterday neither Williams or Hudson played due to injuries. The QB scored 6 tds running and throwing.

It's not the best Chattanooga team in my lifetime, but probably the best in recent years. This team could easily be 5-0 if not for an offense that sputtered early season. The offense appears to be running on greased grooves now though, in their last three games raking up 42 points against Austin Peay (not sure we would score more against them), 38 points against Samford, and 55 against VMI.

They play fundamentally sound defense. They'll give our offensive line a scrap and will come to Knoxville like everybody else with designs on sacking Worley.

That said, I don't see their coach's son QB, though adequate at the DII level, cracking our defensive secondary any more than Jeff Driskel did. If he can't, we crowd the box on their running game and pretty well shut their offense down. How much pressure our defensive front can put on him is an open question, but I'm not sure that will matter... maybe the difference between a shut out and allow a score or two.

On defense, however sound Chattanooga's secondary is technically, they just don't enough athletes to hang with all the playmakers we have. If our receivers can't get open against Chattanooga, we need to take a serious look at our receiver coaching. If Worley doesn't have time to throw against them (at least some of the time), we need to be recruiting better offensive linemen.

I bet they have a better qb than Worley or dobbs

No, he is the coaches son played at Baylor high school in Chattanooga. Has consistency issues. d I'd really good, great LB and CB. Like to run to open pass but can come out of the gate throwing the rock. Ranked in the top 15 or 20 in FCS. Pretty good team for FCS. I live in chattanooga but don't follow the team the way I should. GBO. I still believe in 6 wins.

I doubt many of their players have more talent than any of ours. I was making a smart ass comment. Clearly blue font is necessary on this board, but I pretty much only post on mobile so the blue font is a hassle.

Let me spell it out for some of the sarcasm impaired on this board. I do not think their qb, not that I know anything about him, is better or more talented than Dobbs or Worley. With that said, Worley did not look good yesterday and anyone that says otherwise or blames it entirely on the oline is lying.

Could be interesting early with Tennessee coming off the loss to Florida and ole miss on the horizon, throw in an instate FCS school who would love nothing more than to make a game of it could be dangerous.

You make it sound eerily similar to 1958 when Chattanooga actually beat UT. The only good part was in '58 Tennessee beat a #7 ranked Old Mess team the following week.
