I'm comparing what you get for the price of a full page ad asking for change versus the price to attend a UT game.

Seems the ad gives you more bang for your buck.

Looking at pre-Bammer. It costs $10,000 for a Saturday ad. OM is gonna kick in and one of the guys said Smashmouth was talking about it also. If any of you guys post over there you can fill us in on what they are saying. I was gonna kick in $50. We would only need 200 people at 50 apiece. No required amount just whatever you can handle. We haven't set anything in stone, just trying to guage interest to see if we could raise that kind of cash.

How much would an ad in the Chattanooga Times cost, instead? If there is a such thing as a "slow ad day" (like a Tuesday as opposed to Sunday), then a full page ad in that paper would probably be just as effective and not as costly...

I would recommend drafting the content, then soliciting for financial support. It would have to be tasteful to be published, and I would contribute. Finding 200 to contribute $50 each shouldn't be overly difficult.
