... for completion percentage and total yards for passes that are 5 yards or less through the air versus his completion percentage and total yards for passes that are over 5 yards down the field.

I may be crazy, but I am betting these numbers are incredibly lopsided.

I did not realize that a pass over 5 yards constituted a deep ball. My bad. Missed that memo this past offseason. :worship:

I bet he's saying his short passes are worse than his deep balls.

No, I just noticed that many of his completions have been to a running back out of the back field or a short curl route with extensive yards after the catch.

Maybe I am wrong, but it would be interesting to find out.

That's been our passing attack since Butch has been here though. It's nothing new.

The first 3 completions JG threw were maybe 1 yard beyond the LOS.

So were Dobbs'. The coaches call a lot of those plays.

Dormady was 13/18 for 194yds 2tds 1int

Not world breaking stats but solid.

He averaged 10 yards per throw. That is what you want from your QB. Didn't like the INT, but he is still a young QB experience-wise. Would have liked to see him connect on those 2 throws to Palmer (who is going to be a game-changer type of WR like Callaway), but he will get the timing on those deep throws down. Not a great outing, but solid. All the more so because he came out after 3 series and sat for 2, so had to reestablish a flow after sitting for a while.

Only had 5 incompletions on 18 throws. Had 13 completions which included gains of 18, 17, 13, 14, 13, 19, 17, 37....none of these were to his running backs. Averaged 10.8 yards per attempt which is beyond outstanding.

Not exactly sure what your angle is here, but I think you're on the wrong track with your criticism.

Just give up KB. Some of our "fans" live to bash anything they can and refuse to see positivity in anything. Its really sad I feel like I need a 3 day break from VN after a 42-7 win.

Man, I did not realize this website was overrun with a ton of sensitive souls.:cray::cray::cray:

I merely asked a question. There is absolutely no criticism anywhere in my question or subsequent posts. I just wanted to know if anyone had the stats so I could look for how the Gators defense played us next week. Grow a backbone. Geez.

Also, saying he "averaged 10 yards a pass" evidences a desire to remain ignorant as to how he is actually averaging 10 yards per pass. When Florida plays a cover 2 zone on us next week and gets a pick six, I don't want to hear dilly from the willfully ignorant bunch.

If I offended you, then I apologize. I was not intending to argue with you, I was really just responding to you by noting QD had a not great, but solid outing. But he avgd 10 yds per throw the same way all QBs do; a mix of short, medium, and long throws. And I do agree that QD will have much smaller windows to throw in next week, which is what games like today are for. QD will get to see plenty of film on his mistakes and he in the receivers will continue to work on timing this week.

Probably 75% of Dobbs complete passes were screen passes. What's your point. I don't understand why people still insist that JG is the better QB when he clearly isn't, and isn't all that close either.
