I would love for Saban to leave Bama. It would be an epic meltdown. I believe it is their turn to be a mess for a while. I hope they hire their versions of Kiffin and Dooley like we did. One can only hope.

I dont wont that turd licking dog to go no where suck it up man if we cant beat the SOB with the best then the heck with it we dont deserve to beat that washing powder team.

I've been reading a Texas board-shaggybevo. Most of their fans seem more realistic than some of fans during our coaching shenanigans. They had a thread laughing about our game vs UF. This a quote, "TN's coach is pretty much a goober."

Funny, their program is about as relevant as ours is right now.

Would love to see Saban leave but it ain't hapnin'.

Despite his reputation as a mercenary, all of his moves made sense. The ceiling at LSU was much higher than Mich St, he left LSU for a shot at the NFL, and took the Bama job when he realized he wasn't cut out for the NFL. Now he is on top of the CFB world and has his pick of the best recruits in the country. What exactly does Texas offer that he doesn't already have?

Now, having said that I really dont care if a texans wins or loses. I guess misery loves company but other than that I do t care.

I don't believe that Saban will leave for Bama.

But I've heard one point that gives a somewhat plausible reason for Saban to leave for Texas and that is to become the first coach to win a national championship at 3 different schools. So that and making him the highest paid coach in college football, he could bolt for Texas.

Saban made some comments about being too old to start over somewhere. But I think it's just coach talk. Mack is still employed, he's not going to talk about anything indicating he would be interested. Texas however is the only job I could see Saban leaving for. But I don't think it will happen. I think it's more likely Texas would grab Chris Petersen or bring Muschamp back. Or maybe try to screw A&M and go after Sumlin. Not sure. But Mack is definitely done at TX.

Saban claimed he would not leave LSU for the Dolphins.

Saban claimed he would not leave Miami for Bama.

Now, Saban claims he will not leave Bama for Texas.

If Texas offers 7M and heavy incentives, does Saban stay at Bama? What does his history say?

It would be nice to see a Texas head coach acknowlege the state of Tennessee over the Alamo. Texas is usually too busy tryin to say Tennessee stole their T icon. It'd be nice for a change to see folks behave grateful.......over anything.......period.

He said he wasn't leaving for the Browns last year.

Maybe he's turned over a new leaf.

Who the hell talks about the Alamo anymore?

The difference is he was not offered the Cleveland job. The other jobs mentioned (Miami, Alabama) were offered.

If you want to get technical about it, he hadn't been offered the Bama job at the time he made his "I'm not going to be the next coach at Alabama" statement.

Don't know, but if you say so. Looking back, Cleveland was targeting Chip Kelly all along last year and the new owners just trying show off their efforts in finding a coach. The key is the offer. If he listens to Texas and they indeed make an offer - anything goes with one being a raise for a number of unrelated coaches.

You don't leave the premier program you rebuilt in the SEC to go to the Big 12 However Many Schools This Week to follow Mack Brown if you are Saban at his age. Whatever Texas offers Bama will counter.

Everybody will mess with Texas.

Texas can absolutely outspend Alabama and anyone else for that matter. Some of Texas' boosters are worth more than the entire state of Alabama. Saban may use Texas to get a raise and stay put but make no mistake, Texas could make it very uncomfortable for Alabama to keep him.

Muschump to Texas would be interesting... Would FL look to Petrino, Strong maybe or Malzahn?? Any of the 3 IMO would be scary at UF. Worse than Muschump

Grew up being told I was rooting for the fake UT. Love seeing them struggle. Should be an entertaining coaching search assuming Mack doesn't get lucky.

I hope Texas makes a run at him and Alabama has to mortgage every single trailer in that state to meet the offer and keep Saban there. They get five more years at the cost of their future. That would be cherry. :)
