If they're smart the announcement will be ASAP. Ohio St. got a HUGE advantage when they hired Urban Meyer early and he got to recruit while everyone else, including his team, were bowling. Hire your big name coach now and let him run wild while everyone else is bowling.

With alot of the teams firing there coach, I feel like the longer we go without the more we're screwed.

I thought the announcement was supposed to be when the fired Dooley. No wait then it was to be that he was announced during the KY game. Oops not then either. Then it was that he was not doing MNF and announcement last night. Now its this Friday. At this point I dont care who we get. As long as its someone decent.

I want the coaching announcement to come as quick as possible, but I am not getting my hopes up that it will happen by Friday. I would loved to be proven wrong, though.

I would think with the dead period for recruits starting around December 16 you would want a coach in place 2 weeks before dead period, so by saying that November 30 sounds good......

The other big things that gives this Friday, Nov. 30 plausibility...

1) the right timing for much media play during the SECCG broadcasts
2) appropriate passage of time since Dooley firing, i.e. professional courtesy

Agreed. Hart can't take forever. More and more teams are looking for a new HC with only so many big names out there

Sure. I heard that. I also heard he would announce yesterday during MNF, after the UK game, etc. Getting tired of all these stupid morons pumping up everybody's hopes when we all know we're going to get stuck with Al Golden or Sonny Dykes.

I keep seeing a lot about a Friday announcement but its coming from message boards, twitter, talk radio etc. I just want to get this thing done and get it right. I hate the waiting game.
