If a team wants to be relevant and stay relevant and have the respect of the media and opponents all it takes is W's. The past 8 yrs we have not done the best job at showing up in big games and losing to others we should have won.

I respect the Vols' lengthy history and tradition. I respect the Vols' potential for the future. But I think that it is fair to say that not even Vols' fans have felt good about things at UT for the last five years. Even the SECE title a couple of years ago just didn't seem to mean much.

Not!

Biggest rivals?

UF = FSU, UGA and UM when we play them
Bama = Auburn
UGA = UF, G Tech
Kentucky = non rival, 24 straight.
Vandy = 1 bowl per lifetime. hahah.

They are hated rivals to be sure, but Tennessee is not the biggest rival of anybody meaningful.
You should quit drinking and take a nap. Maybe you'll be more coherent afterwards.

That might be because it's not a title.

I still talk crap. Just the way the sport works out.

When all sound logic and good arguments fail...just start throwing insults around. I get satisfaction out of seeing other fans get worked up over what a Vol fan says to them.

And because we didn't really earn it, Florida gave it to us by losing to the right mix of teams.

And UGA gave it to us, then we blocked an OT FG at KY, then dodged a Vandy comeback with missed FG as time expired, then gagged in the second half and tried to hand SC a game. Those three resounding triumphs got us there. The absolute killings by AL and UF were hard to overlook on that resume.

Since we have no chance, 0%, logically, we should just forfeit and prepare for Ohio.

Why even play it? Seems like a waste of money and time that would be better spent preparing for the home stretch.

The guys with those camera thingies, who are making a huge investment to the SEC, won't take it very well and we'll be on TV again some time in the 22nd century. Otherwise, solid idea. I don't think I've heard it yet.

Well, they could still televise a massive ESPN- UF circle jerk led by Tebow, for all the Florida fans to watch. I've heard Tebow likes playing with weiner, after all.
