“We cannot risk the team getting another penalty”. That’s weak as hell. You coach them to prevent that. I get it happens every once in a while. But to accept a 47 yarder when you have the chance to knock off a top 10 team is remarkably weak.
They do coach them not to do that and 74 did it anyway. If we had gotten tackled short of the LOS or gotten another penalty, we would not even have a chance to kick a 47 yarder.

Yes it’s dumb. He’s shaky over 40. I’m not settling for a 50% chance to win. But we had more time and all timeouts before that and we were content bleeding clock.

It's understandable and acceptable for fans to be upset. Yes, we have good talent and grit. In my opinion, it was the small things by the coaches that caused this lost. I don't think we should have taken a loss when we could have kicked the 37 yard field goal. Furthermore, I question putting that freshman DB on an island.

We had them on the may early and let them up.
Had on the ropes late and let them punch their way back.
I'm missed about this loss, but thats a good thing !!!

Not long ago a loss like this would have been welcomed.
What is it with some of you? We let them punch their way back??? You act like UGA is some second rate team or something. We didn’t “let” them do anything. That are more talented than we are and have a better coaching staff. Also, and this is the most important thing, they have ELITE depth. We don’t.

Exactly what im saying. We had a superior team beat and let them back into the game.

he will learn from it and he will beat Georgia

he's got to win two huge road games now to make it to the SEC championship game. if we can get healthy we can do it
I believe this, IF he breaks the streak and actually learns from his mistakes.

Heupel being conservative let them back in the game. That's it. Aggressive after the turnover and aggressive at the end of the game is what would've won it. Not being a coward.

We went toe to toe with a far superior -talent wise- heavyweight and lost on a missed FG.

We came back when it looked bleakest and it took a miracle bomb on 4th down from them to even get it to that point.

I am VERY impressed with where this program has come from. Please remember this is a rebuilding year with a QB that’s been on campus but a few months and no D Line and both corners out.

Future bright !!

Again, don’t be a dumbass.
We didn't lose this game because of a disparity in talent.

8 pt lead with 2:35 left and give up a 26yd TD pass on 4th down plus 2pt conversion.

3rd down with :07 left and three TOs left and we trot out the kicking team.

43 yd FG attempt to win it goes WAY wide right.

Great teams win those games. The lights were just too bright for us. Still have a ways to go.

Just call me DA. How long do you prefer the streak goes?

I hear ya but we gave up a bomb on 4th down, gave up a 2 point conversion, didn't center up for a field goal, false started to make it longer, and missed a 42 yard field goal. This was our best shot to beat those entitled aholes and we won't likely be able to do so for at least 2 more years.
We will play them again this year.

I didnt see a fold. I saw players not executed at the end of the game. Joey started choking for awhile. Sham choked. Gilbert choked. The defense choked.
Heupel went full on Johnny Majors after the fumble. Kids miss tackles, kicks, and throws. Coaches that win don't suddenly change who they are to protect a lead that everyone know wasn't safe.

That was a bad drive, but georgia played very conservative plenty and just willed their way to victory. I saw talent out playing talent at the end. Every coach deserves criticism for a loss but I saw 5*s beating 4*s when it mattered.
