I do expect a solid win today, however i am worried about our O-line against this guy. Not to knock the Sullins brothers but if Vlad Richard doesn't play much today and we have to go with Cory Sullins at gaurd I will be a little worried about how effective our run game can be inside the tackles. Having a 260 lb center scares me enough as is, but sticking his brother at gaurd who is virtually the same size really worries me against a guy like Price. I hope they prove me wrong, but I just don't see us running the ball anywhere close to the level we did last week. I think if we get over 150 or anywhere close to 200 yards rushing today it would be a big success.

VERY worried...

See Alex Brown 1999.

We're going to need a plan to neutralize him with playcalling if we can't block him effectively.

I went and looked at "Alex Brown 1999*" and wondered why it had an asterisk next to his name. I scrolled down and it said "John Chavis 1999". All makes sense now

If it's being talked about here... Lane already knew it 3 weeks ago. :wink2:

Sounds daunting but the Sullins brothers go against Dan Williams every day in practice.

Don't get me wrong Dan Williams is a good DT, but Price is projected to be a first round draft pick and is apparently a really strong bullrush type guy. Little uneasy about that matchup, but I think we'll find a way to run the ball.

That's the advantage of great play calling and having a guy like Coach Kiffin calling the plays. Makes a big difference

I'm a Dan Williams fan, he has really developed from being a mediocre recruit into one of the better DT's in the SEC, but realistically I see him being a late 3rd round pick at best.

Moving the pocket should do something - not masses but something - towards helping to neutralise him, and if theres anything USC and lane has done over the last decade is move the pocket via rollouts

Wow... I never realized how far Tennessee's reach was. I had you pegged for a Tennessee boy living/working in the UK, but I see you are a natural Englishman (your spelling of "neutralise" gave it away).

Our of curiousity, how did you come to love the Vols?

Actually, it was "Phil Fulmer 1999" instead of Chavis.

Chavis had no hand in the Alex Brown debacle at The Swamp.

Why we didn't double team him, or run right at him, is still mind boggling.

Famous last words:

George Custer- "Screw the Indians, we can take them."

Tee Martin- "I hope Florida does blitz."

I have to respectfully disagree with you. Dan's draft grade was 3rd round LAST YEAR. I think with a solid season and hard work he can climb into the second round.

Yeah I know. I actually think he would have been better served to jump in the draft last year, as last years DT class was pretty weak, and he could have been taken in the early 3rd. This years class has a lot better looking DT prospects and I think it will be tough for him to break into the top 75 picks overall in this class. I'd say he is ranked within 12-15 best DT's in the nation night now, and with a good season/combine might jump in the top 10.

Being picked in the 3rd round would be good for him imo, but if not I think hes a sure thing in the 4th round, anything after that and D Williams would be a real steal of the draft.
