Any word on a players only meeting?

yes..Kendal Vickers had a team only meeting right after the UMASS game and went off on everyone..Saying they needed more passion, they needed to get better, and they need to take it personal...He would not go into any more details about it than that...GBO

Now see, this is good stuff, if true. Go Vols :rock:

Under CBJ's time here, I'm recalling one instance where there was a players only meeting. That was during the Hurd incident. Just wondering if anyone is aware of a meeting that I might have missed during the past couple of weeks

They try to keep you and Volnation in the loop ---- in fact it was my understanding that it had been postponed twice pending your approval and a time slot that meets your scheduling needs. :good!:

The rumor about Butch losing the locker room also seems off to me if there aren't reports of players only meeting(s)

He hasn't, just a few players who are upset about playing time. The way this team has performed the first few games I haven't seen anyone outside of maybe Trevor Daniel that has any room to complain or criticize based off of their effort thus far.

That's by far one of the best responses on any thread. And funny as well. Nicely done

You mean a players only meeting with Butch? Maybe then they could hash out why Jashon (with helmet on) head butted Shy that subsequently caused a "concussion like syndrome" for one player and fractured orbital for the other. Apparently more than one way to fall on a helmet these days. :thud:

If only the offensive line would show this type of aggression towards players of the opposite team.

Welcome fellow new member. Yeah all of this is unsettling from a fan's perspective. I would think the leaders on this team would have been in some players ears after Umass.

Good stuff, newbie, and welcome.
Hope you will vote in my pole thread.

If they had a team-only meeting within the past couple of weeks, the results appear to be less than desirable.

I will tell you what is happening here......a segment of our so-called fanbase, which no doubt includes a number of trolls, gets their kicks making fun of our coaches, team and program. The game is not their entertainment, they amuse and entertain themselves by making fun of, mocking and degrading the current program.
How miserable their lives must be.........

Hyams reporting that a certain rich daddy's boy ginger linebacker had said he would bring pizza for everyone.
When it arrived, it was Dominos and not the Peyton sponsored expected Papa Johns that the team prefers.
Pandemonium reigned.
What a turn of events.

Whenever you decide to do amateur night at a comedy club, be sure and let us know. I will bring plenty of Grainger County tomatoes and Unicoi County eggs.

Players only meetings have been happening throughout the history of football. None of our business on what was said in any of them.

I'll know next time to be more clear on why I ask a question. I do not care what was said at the meeting!
A meeting tells me that the players thought it was important enough at the time to come together as a team. Whatever the reason. You may not see it that way. Again this is not an "any gossip coming out of the locker room thread"

Well you do live in bammer so there's that.

Gotta go where the job is bud. This whole "life must be miserable" narrative is nothing more that not having to face the fact of what is beinf sad. Dont worry, some people just need to see more evidence than others, nothing wrong with that.
