I'm in town on business starting tomorrow and was wondering if there's anywhere that Vol fans gather to watch games in The Big Easy.

Agree 100% but did stop by for a quick couple hurricanes my last time through.
I have a theory that I find serves me well. In general, if people who have never been to a city ask you about a place, that's a dead giveaway that it has become infested with tourists and should be avoided like the plague.

I was at Pat O'Briens a few months after Katrina on business. Between songs the singer in the band said "Everyone living in a FEMA trailer lemme hear ya!" About a third of the people raised their glass and cheered.

Such a nice town filled with such stupid people.

Where do you go?

Believe I went to a spot called "Howl at the Moon" a couple years back. Memory a little hazy due to the late hour and I was feeling no pain. Do remember that the music was really good.

So I can take you off the Ron Jons waiting list and the EPCOT/Disney tour?

Lafitte's Blacksmith Shoppe is a favorite. Tipatina's is tremendous. The shrimp po boy with tobasco mayo at the Acme Oyster House is a piece of paradise. I could probably name 30 restaurants in the French Quarter alone that are top notch.

Easy on the Oyster House talk. One is reminded of Police academy.:)
