WTH.... so this isn't about new testimony but now it has shifted back to not good for UT ? WTH could they possibly be doing other that giving Pruitt and others show cause and at most a couple schollies ? If they want a vowl ban tell them to kiss our ass and we will see you in court

IF you mean the case in court its most likely pending the results of the NCCA thing. If Pruit gets roasted by NCAA he probably pushes forward with the case but if they tell him he can go back to coaching he probably backs off or settles.

If Pruitt gets a light penalty or backdated show-cause from NCAA it gives UT leverage because if he wants ot find another job that litigation does not look good to other schools. But if he gets hammered or they don't backdate his show-cause he has nothing to lose. Normally a showcause starts on the day its handed down but this has been in the works for almost 3 years. So they could give him a 4 or 5 year show cause and he could appeal or negotiate to have its start date be when this all started and he was fired and go back to a headcoaching job as soon as next season.

Regardless of outcome he won’t be a head coach next year unless it’s high school.

if he were to get a show cause of 4 years or less and get it backdated yes he can. I dislike Pruitt for what he did and I get it others here do also. But don't let reality blind you. There are 893 football-playing NCAA schools in America. A good 800 of them would jump at the chance to hire Pruit if he was available as a head coach and 850 would probably be on board for him as a DC. No matter how much fans hate on former coaches I can't remember the last time a coach was fired at UT and had issues finding another job if they wanted one. Those last 4 words are key. Will Pruitt be a head coach at a power 5 school anytime soon? Not likely but there's a lot more landing spots outside of that.

I’m going to say he will never be HC again in the FBS. NCAA stuff aside, he was a terrible HC and his ego is too big to go to a G5 school. He may very well be a coordinator again. I doubt it will be for big time school anytime soon though.

Fulmer wanted a job but he wanted specific job and they didn’t want him. He could have easily taken a G5 job. But he did have 152-52 record and a NC on his resume.

Lane quit for another job.

Dooley hasn’t been a HC since. Does he want to be? IDK?

Butch piddled around until TN finished paying him. Yes he did get another HC job but he also had a decent record for a small school to take a flyer.

Again I guarantee if Pruitt wants to be a head coach and he is cleared by the NCAA he will have no problem getting a job at a lower level school for a couple of years and popping his head up in FBS again sooner rather than later. He will be in high demand as a DC and if it weren't for the NCAA looming he'd be Bamas DC already. The NIL changes totally how people are gonna see his 'crimes'. His tenure at UT ended badly but if you put it in context its easy for anyone looking in full context to say UT was a dumpster fire when he got here and he did as well as the guys before him. It's not like he was the one big problem here during that time and that's just the facts. He will get another chance whether or not you or I like it. He's part of the Saban coaching tree.

Fulmer didn't want to be anywhere but UT.

Do I think any of them outside of Kiffin will go on to be great coaches, nope but they will get opportunities. The rest of the world does not see them the same way our fan base does. Heck if we went off how former fan bases think about coaches We never get Barnes or Huepel. If you look at our former coaches in FB and BB most of their current teams are happy to have them. Most of them have went on to have some level of success whether it be as a HC or assistant. I think in a lot of situations our former coaches were not so much terrible coaches they just weren't good fits, ready for it and in all cases our administration was a trainwreck. The big reason UT is seeing success now is half the coaches and half the change in admin.

Best case scenario is Pruitt accepts a plea deal. Be allowed to continue coaching if he spills all the dirt on Alabama
