Any update on the Cornbread Trial?

If you mean the NCAA investigation (UT,Pruitt, Ansley) there will be no news on it for 6-8 weeks until a decision is made by NCAA. There is a full non-disclosure in place until then afaik no parties can talk about it until a ruling is made and the hearing is closed.

IF you mean the case in court its most likely pending the results of the NCCA thing. If Pruit gets roasted by NCAA he probably pushes forward with the case but if they tell him he can go back to coaching he probably backs off or settles.

If Pruitt gets a light penalty or backdated show-cause from NCAA it gives UT leverage because if he wants ot find another job that litigation does not look good to other schools. But if he gets hammered or they don't backdate his show-cause he has nothing to lose. Normally a showcause starts on the day its handed down but this has been in the works for almost 3 years. So they could give him a 4 or 5 year show cause and he could appeal or negotiate to have its start date be when this all started and he was fired and go back to a headcoaching job as soon as next season.

Here’s my question:
Does Pruitt implicate previous schools claiming what happened at TN was “common practice” or does Fulmer get caught up in the wash? I wish it was the former but believe it will be the latter even though both scenarios are most likely true.

It may take much longer than 6-8 weeks. UNC had it’s hearing in 10/16. The NCAA announced the results (no penalties) in 8/17. Hope that’s not the same for us.

I guess that is a good sign to have Sankey in tow with Danny White. It's kind of an implicit threat on UT and the SECs side that if the NCAA tries and screw over UT, that the SEC might blow the whole system up and get rid of the NCAA and let the conferences be in charge of everything.

That’s a great analysis. What’s your hourly rate?

Brent Hubbs spotted some moochers taking advantage of the Vols Buffett. I don't subscribe to On3 but he has been posting updates including what Sankeys presence might mean

Word is that he started answering questions and everybody started counting how many times he said “Aight” out of boredom and they all started nodding off, so they had to take a recess and go get espresso

There is no case in court, his representation threatened a lawsuit but never filed it and the statute of limitations has long run out.
