We talked about this before and disagreed. I just think it's a mega bad idea for an Athletic Director to micromanage the hiring of Assistant football coaches.

Fulmer had his chance and failed. Hamilton needs to be involved and I also heard "Thunder" Thornton will be heavily involved as well. ( Thorntons personal friend is PEYTON Manning) Go Mike and Thunder, to the NFL!!!

Hamilton needs a bag over his head too.

Why?, he spared us of another day of RS. His firings gave me the happiest day of my football life since the NC game.(minus John Ward quitting and RS being hired.)

Do you not like him because he fired RS, tries to improve our stadium, demands accountability of our coaches or what? I recall people hated Dickey as well because he was a Florida guy.Our Athletic Department made it's greatest strides ever under the Dickey tenure. And to quote Dickey, "if we don't win we better be biting the ass out of whomever is second." Right now our Football program is not doing this! Go MH.

Hamiltons doing a great job. He pulled the trigger to get Pearl and i beleive he will have the same strength in the finger to pull the trigger again if the right guy gets into his sights. Hamilton is smart enough to buy his coaches like moguls by real estate..it's all about location! location! location! translated into the coaching genre, buy the winners! buy the winners! buy the WINNERS!!

What has Hamilton done or not done that would cause people to think poor of him?

All that I've heard is that he would be INVOLVED but that CPF would have the final say.

Look at UGA. It took an outsider in Dr. Adams to force Dooley to find someone beyond the goold ol' boy system at UGA. After Goofy Goff and good ol' Jim Donnan, they went to FSU, an ACC school, to get a HC.

Not exactly true . . . .When Goff was fired, they originally hired Glen Mason who was at Kansas, who ultimately backed out the next day.

Wrong. People didn't like Dickey because every UT sport took a back seat to football. He single-handedly ran the bball program into the ground. I don't know about you all but all UT sports are special to me. The womens AD took bigger strides in the last 3 years than Dickey every thought of in his whole tenure. Joan Cronan should have been interviewed before Hamilton.

In the same year Hamilton spent $20,000 (I think) to start a "search" for a bball coach and borrowed money to keep the AD in the black. Questionable money mgmt.

Hamilton is doing a fine job. Most of the people that don't like him are the ones who were asked to donate (or donate more) to keep their 50 yard line seats they were grandfathered in to.

How about the ones who sit on the 5-yard line (in X3) and are forced to donate just to keep their seats? Mind you, my family got these seats in '78. MH has no ties to this program and doesn't care who he takes advantage of anymore. It's sad to sit here and watch very loyal fans get the shaft from this weasel. I would rather see him gone than RS who at least cared about UT as an institution.

Wow, a redesigned stadium. I wonder who foots the bill? The fans. The only good he has done was get CBP after hiring a "search" firm for too much $ and extend Delmonico's contract even though he probably doesn't know where Lindsay Nelson is.

Yes, we may have sacrificed a dying limb off the ol UT tree but the trunk is not far from rot either. MH is worthless.
