Dooley was raised right. Kiffin wasn't.

Dooley says in almost every interview that he "is lucky to be at Tennessee". And in his orginial presser he said "Tennessee is a destination job."

I believe he is happy in Knoxville and will be there for as long as Tennessee will have him.

honestly if i were lsu's AD, i wouldn't even consider hiring dooley. i'm not bashing him as our coach or anything, but he hasn't done anything to prove that he can get it done anywhere.

People areactually excited about bray and our young offense. Guys AD's. Are not gonna have a guy like CDD with a below 500 w% and ranked in the 20's in recruiting on their short list when they already shovel out the most money in the SEC. I like CDD but he is not a top candidate. Atleast not yet. He would not leave anyway. I swear some of you all are just straight up half empty people and are not happy unless there is drama in your life.

There is nothing to worry about with Dooley. His buyout if he leaves is 4 million. He is not going to leave.

To the people on this board that are saying LSU wouldn't even consider Dooley, there are a ton of people that respect Derek and know that he will be a great coach. The crap he inherited at La. Tech and then having them turn around to win their first bowl game in about a quarter of a century was pretty damn good. Then his last year there, many felt like he would be the one that could bring down Boise, but that season was marred by many injuries on offense and defense. Before that last season I just mentioned, many considered Dooley one of the top up and coming coaches in the game and many knew he was destined for the SEC.

That being said, I don't see Coach Dooley leaving because 1. He loves it in Knoxville 2. He has got a lot of pieces in place to turn another team around and 3. He has sympathized with this fan base time and time again throughout the crap we have been through. Lane was somewhat of a shocker just because ESPN really never reported it beforehand, but this would be a complete shocker.

Chill out brother. It's GOOD for us if Lester Miles bolts for Michigan. There are MANY LSU recruits who might re-visit their "commit" if he's gone -- we might also get to pick thru their old coaching staff and grab a few of Dooley's old friends.

I say there is aproximately .00000001% chance he leaves and that's just cause they triple his salary -- BESIDES LSU is going to get a proven coach and Dooley isn't proven yet.

Don't worry -- we are ok -- as the chaos all around us happens, just relax, our program is on the mend and is continuing to heal every day.
