... and I'd be embarrassed at how we won. However, this year has shown us that a victory is as precious as ever, no matter how you get it. Was it ugly? Yes. Am I disgusted by the coaching of this game and some of the players? Yes.

However, it doesn't mean we'll come out horrible in Lexington next week. It doesn't mean we have less of a chance to beat LSU (possibly) in 2 weeks.

When most of us agreed Coach Fulmer needed an SEC Title to make us happy, we didn't say it had to be pretty. 2 to go, Phil, 2 to go.

They won. What is disgusting about that?

You can't be that narrow minded. Not every win is a win that was coached well. Not every loss is a loss that was coached poorly.

In a year when anybody seems to have the potential to beat anybody, I will be content to beat Kentucky and LSU in any fashion we can.

True. But disgusted is a big word VA. Every time this team has been given up on or looked dead in the water, they somehow pull through. This season has been a blast. I will take a win no matter what happens.

I didn't get to watch the game, only listen. (And that is so brutal. Kessling is a joke.) What was so bad about the coaching??

Exactly. A win is a win. Let's take step one in beating Kentucky. Here is to that happening so we get a crack at LSU :toast:

Foster, after running for 7 ypc, was completely ignored for a long stretch of the game. Hardesty only got 1 or 2 carries.

We still don't know how to cover a tight end.

Maybe disgusting was a little too strong, but Cut didn't run the ball enough, IMO. Vandy's D has been good all year, but they are better against the pass than run. We also went two different spans of over 15 minutes without a score.

Defensively, not bad at all, really.

More upset with the obvious lack of either preparation of motivation. So many balls thrown where either Ainge or the WR had it wrong. More in this game than in any other game I can remember. The coaching I'm upset about was during the week, mostly.

We dominated their O in the 4th though. We did what we had to do and we move on. Last week the coaching was perfect. These guys dont forget how to coach overnight.

We throw alot on 1st downs, 2nd downs, and 3rd downs. Then on fourth downs, we only have a couple of inches to go. That's when we run it.

With Kentucky and LSU lurking, I'm sure they were overlooking Vandy.

And this happens after I have repeatedly heard(from Cut and Fulmer) how the UF and Bama games got away from us because WE got away from the running game. WTF was the second drive of the game. NO RUNNING BACKS????????

We dominated their offense because they let us. They became one-dimensional, which UT can handle (see Arkansas or UGA). Run, Run, Pass was their formula after their final score. It was a recipe for comeback. Basically, Bobby Johnson sat on a lead the way Phil used to.
